After checking the post, i recommend looking at this thread in "show printable version" format, so that you can better view the examples of each tab's layout.
Nvm. it removed my format... not sure how to fix, so i will just hope it makes sense.
This is a suggestion to make the bank more interactive, and make it play a bigger role:
Pretext: a "real" bank would ask questions about where you got your cash.. so instead, the "safe place for money" needs a different pretext.
i would like to see multiple "banks" on the bank screen, useful for different requirements.
Bank 1: "Loans" .... you "deposit" a certain amount of money, and that money becomes unavailable. Every few hours (4-24) you get a percentage of your deposit back available to you, with interest (5-20%)
this emulates you loan out the money, and the clients pay you back. in the same emulation, there is a small chance one of the payments is missed. this opens a button on the bank screen regarding this bank, allowing you a few options.
"Make an example" lose that payment and all future payments from that specific deposit, but it reduces the chances of losing payments from other deposits for a few days.
"Get back the money" :a chance of failure, but you can get back the rest of the deposit for immediate availability, and gain some xp.
"Work with them" : get more interest on other deposits, but get slower payments from current deposit.
the bank screen would have tabs. first tab would be "loans" and it would look like:
$___________ (Give loans Button) (you insert how much to deposit and click)
Johnny Two-shoes Loaned: Payment Amount: More in: Interest: Currently Returned:
(Button To Collect Payments) $xxxxxxxxxx $xxxxxxxxx xx:xx:xx x% $xxxxxxxxxx
Missed a Payment! (Make Example Button) (Get Back The Money Button) (Work With Them Button)
Clarissa No-Nose Loaned: Payment Amount: More in: Interest: Currently Returned:
(Button To Collect Payments) $xxxxxxxxxx $xxxxxxxxx xx:xx:xx x% $xxxxxxxxxx
Missed a Payment! (Make Example Button) (Get Back The Money Button) (Work With Them Button)
Etc.
Bank Two/tab two: Storage:
Rent Safe Storage: Deposit X Amount. Costs a small portion of the deposit cost every X hours (have to manually pay from non-deposited funds) Lose all deposited money if amount owed reaches 5x the rent cost.
Permanent Storage: Pay X Amount to Purchase a storage area (Variety available, works much like "city") then you can deposit up to X amount for free, and money in permanent storage's do not need to be withdrawn to be spent... there are also upgrades to these storage's (Storage dependant. better locks for house, armed guards for warehouse, better hiding spot for cargo container..... five types of upgrades each) and there is a chance of robbery. chance and amount robbed goes down with better upgrades. base cargo container could have 10% chance to lose 100% money every three hours.... fully upgraded could have 1% chance to lose 10% stored money every three hours. (just example)
Tab will look like:
Rented Storages: Amount Stored: Rent Cost: Amount Owed: $___________ (Withdraw Button)
$xxxxxxxxxx $xxxxxx / 12 Hrs $xxxxxx $___________ (Pay Rent Button)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(Purchase Storage Places Button)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cargo Container: Max Storage: Currently Stored:Robbery: $___________ (Withdraw Button) $___________ (Deposit Button)
$xxxxxxxxxx $xxxxxxxxx xx% Chance xx% Lost (Purchase upgrades Button)
Current Upgrades: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Current upgrades and levels shown here~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Safe House: Max Storage: Currently Stored: Robbery: $___________ (Withdraw Button) $___________ (Deposit Button)
$xxxxxxxxxxxx $xxxxxxxxxxx xx% Chance xx% Lost (Purchase upgrades Button)
Current Upgrades: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Current upgrades and levels shown here~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Etc.
Bank 3/Tab 3: La Costa Nostra International Bank:
Actual Bank. no deposit fees, and a small 1-2% interest paid per 24 hrs, and money needs not be withdrawn to be spent (you can write checks) ..... however, there is a chance that questions get asked about how you acquired such funds... and a police investigation gets launched. during the investigation, all deposited money is frozen and cannot be spent... and you need to lay low, so energy and stamina regenerate slower during the investigation. a percentage of the money will remain permanently in evidence during the investigation (100% frozen, 10% lost in evidence, or something, to never be returned)
Increasing City income reduces chances of investigation.
having less money in the bank reduces chance of investigation.
hiring accountants will reduce chance AND duration of investigation. (They make your money look legit)
Bribing police will reduce duration of investigation, and how much money is lost in evidence.
Using money to pay for hitlists or rigged ignitions and such will increase your chance of investigation for a short time.
It rolls randomly to see if an investigation is start every hour (or 2 hours.... or 3, or 4, as with all variable numbers, chances, interest rates, and such.... not fully thought out, so i would like suggestions on those variables of my suggestions)
Tab will look like:
$_______________ (Withdraw Button) (Withdraw all button) $______________ (Deposit Button) (Deposit All Button)
Current Amount In Bank: Time Till Interest Payment: Chance Of Investigation: Investigation Duration:
$xxxxxxxxxxx xx:xx:xx xx.xx% xx:xx:xx
Accountants: xxxx (Hire Button) (Investigation Alert*) Time Till Investigation Ends*: xx:xx:xx (Bribe Police Button)*
Investigation alert would be like... "Investigation!" or "Safe!" .....
Time till investigation ends will be grayed out and the time will be nonexistant during "safe"
Bribe police button will be grayed out during "safe"
This is my suggestion to make the bank more in-depth, useful, interactive, and entertaining..... by having three separate banking options/tabs, each with pros and cons. this is the "short" version.... i could give a lot more specifics (such as on the storage upgrades) ..... and i could come up with more bank tabs....
please leave all feedback, added idea's, improvements, etc
