[LCN] Myspace or Facebook

With the continuouse lagging problems with Myspace, & no end in site that this problem won't continue, would you rather be moved over to Facebook?

personally....i cant stand facebooks format/layout for game compared to MS. that coupled with Kanos comments after the Hi5 fiasco that they wont be doing a transfer again....Im ok with just riding off into the sunset when/if MS fails. Kano is and has been heads and tails above the rest in nearly every category.......but inevitably things change due to a multitude of reasons for both the player and the game.


I dont understand exactly what u want me to rate.....im guessing that your asking if kano should transfer accounts from MS to FB if MS does fail....if thats the case.....im fine with that for the players that want to be transferred in an equitable fashion that wouldnt disrupt the flow in FB. I wouldnt transfer myself...but i give the idea a 10 for those that would want to.

Well, depends on the game. My mobster can vanish into oblivion for all I care, but I would like to keep my Viking in case MS dies.

 

Its my understanding that there is Legal binding. They cannot just transfer information from myspace to facebook. They cant, because they would get sued so hard, we'dd all get emails asking "who's got an empty couch?". We would be lucky if they had the ability to keep the game LIVE much less come out with new content.

If you play on myspace. Just stop. Start over on facebook. The games are made all so easy now to start over at the beiginning.

After just a few months, My zombie slayer on facebook is almost as strong as the one that I have on myspace. All i hope to get out of my account on myspace is maybe the UN that i bought for it, and the loyalty points that go along with it....

Im never going to ge that as long as the last 500 players on myspace are still beating on the dead horse. Myspace will not crash for a very long time. They are still making good money in music advertisment. What you are just going to keep seeing, is more and more lag, and less and less players... until its just 50 people on there all ganged up against 5 people. oh... and maybe about 200 alt accounts some that log in daily and some that dont... and that will likely cary on for another year.

Its really a sad state of affairs. Im glad that im out of it.

As far as direct transfers, Its not going to work. Legal bindings, and also, People are already playing on both networks. Its not against the TOU at all. what about those players? Do they get to have an alt? or do they just get screwed over totally?

It needs to be on a General discussions thread, being moderated, and maintained by an administrator. With a little bit of honesty about what they can and cannot do.

 

Actually Zynga not to long ago did COMPLETE transfers to FB for the vampire app.
Everything intact.

So yes it can be done with no issues.
Got no idea what was involved but point is full transfer everything intact.

 

As a player who got a Hi5 transfer i can say with all honesty it's not something i think should ever happen again.

Don't get me wrong, Kano did a great job with pulling together what they did and i think most people were happy with how it went.

But what happened after the transfers were done made the whole thing turn out very bad for pretty much everyone that plays Kano games.

MS has been tanking for a long time. If you're still spending money, you've gotta be stupid or just playing in the now and don't care what happens down the track. If MS does go down, i wouldn't take any kind of transfer on offer, not even a 1:1.

 

The package old hi5 player got was okay but as Relentless says what happend later was totally BS and out of control.
Kano banned MANY players who got a transfer from hi5 without notice and good reason.
Everybody who was not from hi5 said stop whining and start over with a new account.
.....Now you want to get transferred ???
When I see players that was among those ...... even support the idea, I get a bit pissed.

If I could rate this Idea with a negative score I would do it !!!

I just want the money that i spent on zombie slayer.... to be on my zombie slayer....

I mean, some of the time and effort i put into it would be great too... but im not pushing for it. Just the UN and loyalty would make me happy enough.

I started over from level 1. playing a game that i had already been playing for well over 2 years. Seems like i should at least be able to keep the investments that I made.

The moeny i spent afterall, Did help make all the same updates that facebook zs recieved. It was to play the verry same game, and to purchase the very same things available for purchase. and its called "loyalty" for a reason. Just because Myspace is failing, does that make me any less loyal to kano apps and zombie slayer? No, it doesnt. It actually shows more loyalty, that i started over from level 1, and 0 loyalty, and transfered all my purchases to a new network.

We should have the option of freezing the myspace account, and transfering Loyalty to facebook. This would have to be done on a 1 on 1 basis with thru support, it should be worth it, to insure the people that are PAYING for everyones updates, that thier investments are appreciated.

 

Spending money on fb for a game is a gamble at best, there are no guarantees and no refunds, we have seen it in HI5( although Kano tried to do whatever it was they did) and I have seen with Zynga , they pull a game and the money spent is history, everyone should be aware of this from the beginning






besides the fact thatFB takes a cut of money spent on games, if I am not mistaken, not sure if Myspace does also

 

Facebook gets a cut from the money spent on thier network, Kano does not have to pay facebook when they give away 1000 from the lottery do they? I would think, and hope not.

Kano looses income, devs are layed off, and updates slow down back to the darkages of "japan" (Zombie slayer that was the newest area for about 4-6 months)

We have lost so many players already, a little assurance to loyal customers will go a long way.

fortunatley, I am not one that payed multitudes of thousands of dollars on myspace, but what about the players that did. You expect them to get screwed over on amounts of money that could have bought brand new cars, and then just start a new loyalty program over from 0 points?

Kanno apps has made it obviouse the game is all about money...
'BATTLE ARENA' is totaly set to advantage ppl with hotkeys, i'd like to see someone from kanno click a mouse 50,000 times..., talk about carpal tunnel syndrome,lol

i know alota ppl have provided prof of cheaters many times, with lil being done, only "free users" get banned or suspended, & the cheaters spending money.. nothin..... but maybe when they start to notice that ppl arn't playin much lately not coz of the occasional lag problems, but due to less enjoyment these cheaters cause, then maybe they'll pull thier heads outa there @sses & finaly do something.

for me.... the vast spreading of hotkey users + constant lag... makes the game not worth playing much anymore....
atleast on facebook, i'd only have to deal with cheaters.....

When you spend money on a game , that is it ,if the is game gone ,Oh well, there are always gonna be people that spend money. I know many that do not play anymore for various reasons, and have gone on to other games and spend there, new players are playing everyday, I see who spends in PC you can tell it real easy. there is not guarantee when you spend money in a game that there will be any kind of refund for a game that is gone, get real people Kano was the first to attempt to help some players from a network that was not longer viable for its games. If FB ever did that , I would just be out any money I have spent, just like when Zynga pulled a few games there , sure it would suck for a day or two but ces't la vie .
