We have just launched the lottery program. You can purchase tickets by going to the "The UN Credit" page and click link "The Lottery" at your left hand side.

You will get a free ticket every day at this moment and the draw happens daily at 12pm (Pacific Time). So, don't miss your daily free tickets.

For more detail about prizes, how-to play and rules, please click the 'About' link in the lottery program to learn more.

Any questions and feedback are welcome!

Got 1 number on the lottery today

Reward was 1 hours income in $ - nothing to shout home about

Think rewards need to be looked at, the potential prize of up to 1000 UN is great but you have approx 1:57000 chance of getting it, so in reality its never gonna happen for daily players

You will get the odd freak win but as this was introduced as another way to earn UN in ZS - its a fail

ZS is so much harder to level in than all other Kano games, you really need to help us out a bit better

Started a PC account to verify this (and i buy 214 UN a month in ZS)

    ZS - LEVEL 1315 - 346 days playing
    PC - LEVEL 712 - 35 days playing

    Pretty explicit, no?

All Kano games have different level curves and different refill options, etc, because after all whats the point of making different games if they all behave the same way.

ZS is the only Kano game where a player will get a full re-fill when they level up, all others are capped at a certain amount, the XP level curve is definitely the most challenging of all Kano games and that is why full refill is awarded.

As always we listen to player feedback to help improve the game. If you would like, please start up a thread on some of the issues that you are facing at the higher levels and we can create some dialog and hopefully make some improvements to make the game more enjoyable.

Adding additional upgrade tiers based on level is one option we have been bouncing around internally here to help give higher bounties/income for higher levels.

As for the lottery, we are currently looking at other rewards that could be added as well as tweaking the odds.

Yep, understand the need for diversity among the games, just saying ZS to PC difficulty levels are a tad extreme.

As to full refills thats not quite true, yes its 10000 energy and 1000 stam but i have more than 1000 stam and dont get a full stam refill, i get 1000 stam (obviously get full refill when purchase stam refill via UN, but that is same as all Kano games). Maybe you could look at true full refill award upon levelling up?

Adding additional property upgrades - surely these would haave build times of upwards of 3-4 months or a instant build cost of 30+ UN if you carried the current property structure forward - if so thats not very sexy at all!

To the orginal subject of the lottery, there are loads of real life lottery models to follow to jazz it up.

  5. Every other game I've ever played refilled my energy/stamina bar 100% when I leveled, so "thanks" for doing what every other game developer has done. I was quite shocked and quite annoyed when I played VC only to find out that the refills were capped. For that and other reasons, I quit playing VC. It was getting dull.

Someone once asked the developers to scale down property upgrade times, while at the same time scaling up outbreak costs. I know you scaled outbreak costs up in South Africa, making the game even harder, but did you scale down those upgrade times? Currently I'm in Australia and I think one upgrade takes 75 days. 2 and a half months is ridiculous. I can actually feel myself growing older as they upgrade.

I don't have a problem with the lottery as is. It's a neat little bonus.

  6. I highly agree waiting 88 days.. 92 days etc.. for properties is stupid. You have it set that way so people buy the property with UN out of anger, great for your pocket bad for the players. (wonder how long until you delete this post)

I hope that Kano over time can build a reputation of not just trying to "line" our pockets, which I think we have with those that have been on the forum for quite some time now and have read my past responses to posts like this. I always kind of laugh when I read posts like these and I am sure you would too if you knew the people that work at Kano and were clear on what are intentions are, we are good people that always try are best to make everyone happy.

But that being if these games did not make any money they would not exist or the quality and support would be severely reduced.

Kano certainly does not delete posts for saying we are "lining our pockets", a. because it is not true and b. we have much more integrity than that.

  8. Maybe so, Kendall. I don't care if you're trying to "line" your pockets or not. You need money to keep the game going. But the fact remains, property upgrade times are ridiculously stupid and I would like to see them decreased to something a bit more reasonable. Like I said, I'm growing old watching some of these properties increase in value. I for one can't wait to see the inevitable 1 year upgrade time. ;)

I think the lottery is a great little add for people to get a bonus, but to be honest I forget about it more often then not. Could we have one of the little red tags show up on the UN tab when the lottery has been drawn?

Thanks for the feedback. As the lottery is still in its beta testing, we didn't add any addition promotions to the feature. Once we stabilize the feature (base on players' feedback & suggestions), we will make it more appearance to players.

I think the Lottery is just fine the way it is. It doesn't need to be some giant spectacle of a feature. The Lottery is there to get numbers and rewards.

If it turns into some long drawn out thing like Death Deals I would rather not even see a Lottery.

I hope it stays the way it is, maybe with a few tweaks IF if needs tweaks to "run better."

Otherwise I think it's just fine. There is no need to go over the top with it.

Off topic...properties are just what they are. If you don't like it then spend your UN. I pay for UN and I still don't use UN on properties, I'm not gonna waste 20-30 UN buying some shit that will boost my base hitlist price...Waiting 90 days IS a long time.....so what? Yall ever heard PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE? lol

Don't like it then spend UN....Even I'm not desperate enough to spend UN upgrading properties. I'll wait the full term and live with it. You can't have everything handed to you on a silver platter with a silver spoon.

It is 90 days for level 3 upgrade only. Level 1 upgrades take 10-11 days, and level 2 upgrades take about 3 more weeks. So 4 months since a location comes out is kind of ridiculous actually, and that´s just for one property... So completing a whole location takes a whole year. I don´t even know if the world will exist in a full year LOL
It should be changed someway IMO, but I can live with it. I can use my UN points on lv. 3 upgrades and it´s enough.

As for the lottery system, I agree with Relentless. I keep missing/forgetting it exists and I only managed to check a couple times, maybe you should remind people it´s there somehow (in the main screen there could be an 'ad' about it like gifts or bosses). But the idea like it is now is fine with me.

OK, if they were to change the property system now what compensation would they have to give those of us who have put in the time and effort to make sure they stay upgrading? Can't make everything so easy for those people just starting. The rest of us had to trudge through the thick waiting to get all of our stuff where it is UN or not.
Secondly, if you can't remember to check the lotto then I guess it sucks to be you. Again this sounds like players wanting more and more handled for them instead of taking responsibility of playing their own game THEMSELVES. Boo ho if you can't remember. Guess if anyone ever wins then more power to them for keeping up with it. Just my luck though it'll be a low level player never buys UN who logs in and barely ever checked it then WHAM!!! All of us who are tedious in checking daily would get screwed. Congrats to them though.

Lets make sure we all take a second and realize that even though this is a game; real life still happens and low and behold.....LIFE AIN'T FAIR AND WON'T ALWAYS JUST BE HANDED TO YOU. If there's something you want then you better work for it. Buy UN keep this great game alive.

The LOTTO is fine the way it is. This isn't kindergarten and not everyone has to win. Chances are supposed to be astronomical. Ever play the "real life" lotto? I just think it's funny how butt hurt people get when "real life" seems to creep its way into a game.

The devs were asking for feedback and I was giving back mine. I didn´t say "everyone forgets it exists", I´m saying I do and I suggested it should change somehow. It´s not a mandatory thing.
I´m pretty sure I´ve been around these games at least as much as you have, and I never asked for anything to be handed to me. In fact I don´t mind the game being the way it is now forever more, I just give my opinion on the new changes that come out. That´s what forums were for last time I checked.

And BTW, the fact I don´t pay for my game doesn´t make me worse than you. Please save your stupid "life ain´t fair" comments from now on, they don´t add anything to the topic. Next time please reply with arguments relevant to what´s being discussed.

As for the odds, I´m fine the way it is, I never complained on that.
