TGIF! Development News for October 12, 2018

Happy Friday, everyone!

Thanks to Mohin who diligently covered the TGIF duties during my absence last week. Now that I’m back behind the keyboard, let’s talk about what’s new this past week in development news:

New Mob Wars: LCN Location (Auckland) and Other Updates



Mobsters over level 12,170 can now take a trip to the City of Sails. A famed Kano no-prize goes to whoever can catch all of the references to New Zealand’s revered movie trilogy that was snuck into this Location. The Co-op Boss and Minigame will be out next Wednesday with Crafting following the week after.

In terms of other content drops for the rest of the year, here’s a few dates you might want to keep in mind:

October 17 - New Loyalty Items
October 19 - New Crates
November - New Viking Clan Location
November - New LCN Raid Boss
December - ???

Mob Wars LCN Raid Update

Speaking of Raids, we do have a small update to offer on September’s Raid Boss - The Specter.

First, apologize for the amount of time it has taken us to clarify what happened around this Raid. During our investigation, we did determine that there was an issue that caused Raid Boss to be out of line strength-wise with other Raids in LCN. That was definitely not our intention and due to where this number was in the Raid code and the complexity of it, it was not something we could have changed during the event had we identified it as the cause while the Raids were running.

We regret and apologize that this affected the enjoyment of last month’s Raid. We have made changes to our process for introducing new Raids, so rest assured that this month’s Raid on the 25th will be more along the lines of what you expect, as will any new Raids that come in the future.

Smaller Fixes

Earlier this week our Support site (support.kanoapps.com) was giving a warning when players attempted to log in via their connected Facebook accounts. This has since been fixed, and thanks to @Kirsten for pointing this out to us.

Additionally, the Help/FAQ pages on the mobile apps were down for about 24 hours between Oct 11 - 12. This has since been fixed, and just as reminder if you do experience any technical difficulties with the mobile apps, be sure to let us know via Support!

If you managed to crew up last raid, then how about repaying some of the favor points wasted ??

when will you fix the glitch in Bounty Blitz so us right index-finger-users can compeed against all the bots and scripts-cheaters ??

Also would be hightly apreaciated if you would fix BA....61 kills in SIX minutes, me just using right index-finger can get 3 kills in the same amount of time and then of course i will get killed by the bot/script-cheater within seconds even tho i'm in def stance...

Maybe i should just give up posting in here, coz i never get any reply back or i could surrender and install bots and scripts to keep up with the cheaters

I can appreciate that it takes time and resources to fix an issue. However it doesn't take time to acknowledge a player base pleading for answers and information. The fact there was a problem isn't what left a bad taste in my mouth. The bad taste is a result of the complete cold shoulder turned to the player base who picked up on the problem immediately once raids started. It didn't take but a few clicks to realize something was amiss. I'm not screaming and hollering for FP compensation. Just shaking my head in disappointment. Hopefully this was a learning experience for KANO in the sense that customer service matters. And it isn't even all that hard to provide. Don't go two weeks without commenting on an obvious issue. I will only speak for myself here, silence makes me feel under appreciated and taken for granted. Oh these slobs will just keep on playing and keep on filling our coffers as they stupidly buy extra FPs to do less for more.

Yes thank you for acknowledging that we all weren't crazy and there actually was an issue. Hopefully we all learned something from this; KANO don't take your players for granted and players let's make a statement and keep the CC in our wallets for a few months.

I can only use my left thumb when playing on the hitlist; on phone only. I had sent a request months ago about either (a) Adding an attack button on the left side of the phone or (b) an option if you wish your attack button on the left or right side of the phone. Please understand that some people had lost the use of their right hands, and really, I am sure it shall be beneficial for left handed players as well.

1) is the new raid boss for November going to have tiers put back in?

2) I recall a member posted that he got sent a message that he received benefits that he should not have and you took the stuff away from him!

Now you admit that members attack on the raids were lower than they were in the past and your sorry and have fixed it so...…

What are you going to do for the members that had to use extra stam resulting in them using more GF PTS to finish their raids??

I didn't do raids this time boycotted them and glad I did but lots of players had to do extra and I think it's only right that if your willing to take away from someone cuz you messed up and gave them someone that you shouldn't in turn I think you should give back to people what they had to use extra of because you guys messed up...fair is fair right???

Bosses come out one week after the Location proper, as I called out in the post. You should see the Boss tomorrow, Oct 17.

There's also a regrettable absence of Flight of the Conchords.

on kong pc would it be possible to get a honorable bounty adjustment. The range as you enter into higher lvl territory only incorporates a handful of players that you are expected to be listing in total 10k times for the achievements.

 

I love having no tiers, makes sharing raids so easy and quick and getting on public raids is easier also
