    Hey all,

A few weeks ago we made some small changes to Zombie Slayer with the goal of livening up the Fight actions a bit. We’ve reviewed the results of that change and we’ve come to the conclusion that there is still more we can do here.

To that end, we’re going to be making a couple more updates to ZS today:

    • Increase Hired and Top Squad cap by 5 (to a total of 25 each)
    • These 5 new spots open up at levels 100, 110, 120, 130, 140
    • Increase the number of Weapons and Armor carried into battle by each Squad members
      • 5 Weapons and 5 Armor, up from 1 of each
      • Vehicles will remain the same due to their higher strength

A natural question that might arise is why are we doing this? Compared to our other three games, Zombie Slayer has a very low threshold for a lot of its mechanics. While these differences are what make Zombie Slayer stand out compared to our other titles, they can also be limiting when making and evolving your character.

We’re not trying to make Zombie Slayer lose its identity; we know that its players enjoy that aspect of it and we aren’t trying to make the game into anything it’s not. However, as time has gone on, especially compared to the other games, Zombie Slayer still has room to grow and changing some game mechanics are just part and parcel of that.

We have some more ideas for where we can take ZS in the future, but we’re not trying to rush it. These are some areas where we’ve identified the potential for improvement and we’re going to be monitoring it closely.

Please let us know if you have any technical issues regarding the above changes, and look for us to release them sometime next week!

  2. I sold my items that got pushed out of being used in my inventory for about 5 UN a pop because we had 20 TS. Now suddenly those items that I'd originally bought for about 30 UN a piece could have been used in my inventory if I'd known the TS was going to be raised to 25. that's losing approx 25 UN a piece, & I get items that are high in attack AND defense, so that's a ton of UN I'm out now by you all just randomly deciding to add more Top Squad spots. I'm about done with this game.

    Not really impressed with this.

Could you please explain how to a player this expands the game? It feels more like just expands kano's pocket book by charging folks for the same items twice.

we were not crazy about the hired system to begin with.

We're over here scratching our heads wondering why we couldn't just have our location we so desperately want.

I mean yeah now people have to pay more to be stronger but that seems against the idea of expanding it for the players. and yeah now FW is all jacked with the attacks/defense stats changing

and new fights will briefly break out as the folks sitting here get equipped faster while others show up and find out.

but after the initial run, how does this expand the game?

Try as I might I don't see how this makes the game any more fun for the player.

we really just wanted a few more achievements for fights, hitlist catches. and locations a bit more often.

    this is.......well. perplexing.

Perhaps Kano will consider at least kicking in some loyalty points that tie to what you had sold. That would allow the decent items to pop in to replace.

That seems to be the best I can come up with to show your players that you appreciate the time/energy/money they have invested.

Something sure should be done. That was indeed pretty dirty. Double dipping tends to be frowned upon ya know.

I am not against change at all. The thing that really bothers me the most about this though is the 100s of items I've sold back for 5 to 7 UN after buying them for 25 to 36 UN...The items that were sold back could now be used in our inventory. Those items that were sold had stats 100s higher in attack/defense than the items at the bottom now. That's thousands and thousands of points of strength we are out on. Now a level 1000 or someone who can afford to just smash raids constantly will have better stronger inventory than the rest of us who sold back all those items. Doesn't really seem fair at all. Did you all even think about that?

I'm with Heather and the others if I have known this I would have never sold all those inventory items.. Now I'm stuck with crap inventory..I think we should be reimbursed for the items we sold somewhat..all the 100s of items for a crappy return. And the money soent..now in vein..

Just seems like another way again for them to make their wallets bugger

Here, we're going to change the game to force you to spend your real money to buy back your account that you took years to build. This junk is only catering to lower noobs and big level buyers. Great way to wreck ZS, Kano. Good f'ing job. (That's sarcasm, by the way...)

I agree with everyone else on here that it sucks when you hit level 3k you sell back every items your not using. Now you make a change that we need those items ,lost of un and whole lot of attack and defense. Do you have any plans on how to fix this or we are just out of luck.

I'm fortunate. I've never sold back any items. If I had, I wouldn't be happy either. Doubly so if I did it recently.

Those players who sold items back within the last 30-60 days should receive some UN points as compensation.

This seems like a cash grab. I lost out on alot of UN items sold back for 5-7 UN each, while I could of used those, along w/ most my level has done...are we getting compensated?

It should be every item we ever sold. Should either be given back to us or un to compensate for it. It would take a LOT of un though. The first day that you could sell itams back I wound up with hundreds and hundreds of un after. And that's low compared to a few who sold thousands worth at 5 to 7 un. I don't so much mind the change if we could get FAIR compensation for all those lost items/un not cool, kano not cool at all.

Thanks for the feedback regarding this change, all.

I definitely hear you regarding the new Inventory limits for Fights and the fact that you’ve been able to trade in old items for FP for a while meaning that some of your Limiteds that you could have potentially used may be gone now.

It is something we were aware of, but given how long the Pawn Shop has been available, fully anticipating how each individual player would be affected would not be possible.

These are the sorts of outcomes that we do consider and take into account when rolling out these changes. There will always be some short-term hiccups for longer-term results (more engagement on character building being the result here; while in the other games it is a longer journey, that journey ends in ZS comparatively quickly).

While we minimize those where we can that’s not always avoidable. I'm discussing this feedback with the team further and we’ll see where we can go from here. We are looking at some options here and will update you as soon as we can.

Some other things thing we’re going to be looking at in the immediate future is adding some extensions to existing achievements for Fight stats and such. We can look at an additional Location in the next little while here as well.

Short-term hiccups lol few weeks ago you guys unlocked the hired squad limit, this meant that everyone lvl 90 - 2999 had to scramble to buy the extra hired. The "pawn shop" was also unlocked for every above level 90 at the same time. Then a few weeks later you guys raise the UN price for master crates. Now after the crates prices increase....we suddenly need more items to replace the ones we thought we didn't need.

Grab your brooms folks I declare SHENANIGANS

The crates were a mistake from when they made a sale....js.... but still a bunch of malarkey.

Nothing more can be said here that hasn’t been already....... but I know there’s no way to make this right. Since it’s the higher levels that have been crippled by this, maybe a bigger sale event for higher levels would the most “reasonable” compensation for both parties. Package deal on hireds and gear/UN.....etc.... either way. Enjoy the tickets. Really hope this doesn’t drive away more of the dedicated longtime players.

An update on what we're working on around this, we are looking at making an update to allow the reverse of recent Pawn Shop transactions. We are still nailing down the finer points of this, but we will let you know when we've got something more concrete.
