[EDIT #2] After a significant amount of feedback from players in all 4 games about these proposed changes, we're going to leave the event schedule as-is for the month of September (I.E. the changes suggested in the OP will not be happening.)

It sounds like moving these events would cause issues for players who play multiple games, and wouldn't go far enough to solve people's concerns about fatigue when playing the current volume of events. We'll look for other solutions to try and address that for now. Thank you to everyone who chimed in and helped us make the call not to pull the trigger on this next month!

[EDIT for clarity.] None of the events have changed per se, it's just that we've moved them around to avoid overlapping and broken some events up between games, so LCN doesn't have a calendar or sale at the same time as VC, PC and ZS.

Hey there, mobsters! Big news about the schedule of events coming up.

When the current event schedule was set up, we tried to organize it so that there weren't too many events happening at the same time. However, this got a bit more difficult when raids were added a few years ago.

Over the past few months we've been surveying players via pop-ups in-game, and measuring how much players participate in events running at different times. One of the concerns we heard from you was that there are too many events at the same time, and it gets tiring doing everything at once. At the same time, people like how many different types of gameplay there are, and so we didn't want to drop any events at least for now.

As a compromise, we've worked out a couple of changes to the events schedule that should help spread things out. These changes will also let us create some exciting new themes for calendars and keep things fresh for players who play more than one Kano game. Here's how it'd look for September:

August 31st - September 4th - Raid (raids run every 4 weeks, and the August raid started on the 3rd)
    Sept. 4-8 Weekday Calendar
    Sept. 6-7 - Battle Arena
    Sept. 8-12 Syndicate War
    Sept. 11-13 - Sale
    Sept. 20-21 - Battle Arena
    Sept. 22-24 - Weekend Calendar
    Sept. 22-26 - Syndicate War
Sept. 28th - October 2nd - Raid (28 days after the last raid)

This is the first time we've made a large change to event scheduling in quite a while, so we're very interested in hearing your feedback and seeing how things go over the next month. Many of the other changes we're working on are more technically complex, so we thought it'd help solve some of the concerns we’ve heard while we work on larger projects like crafting and game balance. We have more background on why we made these changes as well, so if you’re curious just let us know and I’ll share that here as well.

Thanks for reading, and please let us know what you think!

I would like more specifics. So the first arena will be on Wed 9/6? Will the next one be on Sunday instead of Saturday, with no arenas on Saturdays anymore? And the wars will run Monday to Friday instead of Thursday to Tuesday? And raids will also run Monday to Friday instead of overlapping a weekend like they do now? I'm not necessarily opposed to any changes, I'm just trying to figure out what the new schedule is going to be starting next month.

Will Battle Arenas and Syndicate Wars run at the same time or at different points during the same week? The latter would be preferable. Thanks.!

I'm thinking the Wednesday arena may overlap the war, but the weekend arena won't. Now the Wednesday arena doesn't overlap the war, but the weekend arena does. We'll need more information about the schedule changes. It's a wash, regardless.

What I would like is having a week or more prior notice for the raid instead of the current 2-3 days.

    Looks good, I have few questions though;
Is it only for September? or is this a general schedule?
On the assumption that this will continue in the coming months, not just September.
First week and last week of every month will be raids? like Sept. 24-30 - Raid after one day 1-2 July another two day raid?

I would be happy to see a timezone shift for battle arena. It's almost impossible for europeans to join the sudden death phase.

so according to your schedule, we now have two raids for the month instead of one? I know you need money for your business, but don't you think you will get a lot more complaints about the cost of playing this game by adding extra raids each month or more events. people are complaining that they can not keep up with the cost of doing these events now as it is

  10. I think you should close down BA until you've got rid of ALL the cheating bastards who can't play without their auto-clicker, auto-healer. bots and scripts !!
I also think it would be fair to all of us playing, if top 10 in BA were forced to show their name !!
I'm sick and tired of xxxxx always being #1

Last time i attempted to play BA, she killed me within seconds even tho i was in def. stance, and during the next 3 lousy minutes she managed to kill 26 more....
If i'm very very lucky then i'm able to kill just one using 3 lousy minutes and my right index finger coz i don't cheat !!
    xxxxxx
    Attacks 144,038
    Kills 596
    Wins 38,986
    Losses 5,377
    Biggest Attack 628,631,176 damage
    Status: Alive
    Rank: 1o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

Spend more time on catching cheaters before you change anything in the game ok ?? TY :)

Any changes to the raid tiers? Please.

On a different note just because you don't win or someone else always wins doesn't mean they are cheating. Could mean they are but not a certainty. Build a mobster not overweight on stamina and energy and you might be surprised how much stronger you become.

I like the fact that there will be 2 raids this month as for the Battle arena I do not take part in this event I see this as an event for higher level players who are not cheating if you look at how the battle arena works a players skilled attack, defense and health are what is used to determine the strength of the player plus the modification kind of like the syndicate wars except on an individual bases. I would like to see new events but I am happy with Kano's schedule.

Are raids starting Aug. 31 and only going to be 3 days? Please clarify. Thank you.

No, Raids are still four weeks apart. That isn't changing. September just happens to have two LCN Raids because of how the schedule works (although technically the first one starts on August 31).

Since there is some confusion (we'll look to edit the original post for clarity) none of the events as you know them are changing. Weekend Calendars are still Friday to Monday, Weekday (or weeklong as the OP calls them) are still Monday morning to Friday evening. Raids are still four days, Thursday morning to Monday morning.

The only thing that is changing is that we are moving around the days that they start on to better space them out over a given month.

Okay. So nothing is really changing, other than there won't be as many overlapping events and no "event" at all 1 week each month (I don't consider the sale to be an "event"). Thanks.

Does this mean that ba will run while raids are active, because that would most likely lower the participants. And are you changing the tiers on kong/armor for raids? we really need t2 to go up 1k more, but keep the start level for that tier

Sincerely I don't understand the new calendar you can post more specific please, thanks.

@Dcasso the idea is to NEVER run a BA while raids are active - there will be a BA once a month that falls on the Wednesday after a raid, so if you start one at the last minute on Monday it could still be running, but we won't have BAs on the weekend that a raid is also happening (which we did have occasionally in the past.)

I'll update the OP now with a more clear explanation of the schedule.
