when you attack its the attack points being calculated not defense. almost always when attacking the gear youll be weaker on the attack
beat me to it. your gear has an attack of 400 give or take, and theirs is around 900 defense. So yes, your gear's attack is weaker than their gear defense. I'm really guessing on those numbers, but if anyone is bored enough to actually add up the numbers, then please let me know if I was even close.
