I couldn't find the original thread (Sorry kano I get way too many hits on the word honorable in a search and not a one was where Mitch introduced it) So I'm creating a feed back thread in ideas simply because well, it's where the idea stemmed from and it's a place that all platforms can react to easily. So how do some of these ideas impact the game? Well we the players had asked for a hitlisting achievement for lists. It's rather on the low side the original achievement and it encouraged activity. What we got was this honorable thing. Great wonderful. Yeah it hasn't worked out quite how planned. The cons. First off let me ask. WTH were you thinking going from 5k to 10k? Where is the 7500? Pretty much unless it's someone from a different app coming over everyone gets to the 5k calls it good and moves on. Second. As a level 2k. You have absolutely depleted my FL. It's in almost EVERYONE's honorable range. And for the big guys hey they are cheap bounties. They can decimate the fightlist daily with no problem. Now who is a level 2k going to play with? The FL dies a death quick enough. You've got to have their bounties inflated too? (the blitz isn't helping much with that either. Hey I get double xp listing 2k under me AND it counts for honorables? woohoo. Except you've effectively killed the trouble making group, the ones that still have a FL er did before the honorables) Third many HL up. And if I'm battling something way bigger for being in an aggressive faction I drain may cash yet get zip, zilch nada. They on the other hand can list the little one of the group with no problem. the little can't afford to trap and the bounty is pathetically cheap for their income. So now a real battle hurts the chances at getting that achievement and it doesn't even count cause it's bigger. The bigger could care less since it's cheap. Not to mention if you look at stats. Gee someone has 10k lists but only 4k honorable. Well now, how many were before the honorable achievement and how many were out of range higher and how many lower? Well that stat doesn't say what it used to now does it? It now just says yeah they list or no they don't. Small point since well no one much fights any more. But worth mentioning, I suppose. Now let's talk pros. The list is indeed more active. Quality is down but quantity is up. For quality it i nearly always imperative to catch a blitz or a bored player with cash to blow and someone willing to be chained. um. yeah that's pretty much all i've got on pros. I guess it helped draw in new fighters as when some random thing 2k levels below randomly gets listed every day they eventually get fed up and list back and they still have cash since they weren't spending before? Not sure how useful this is in the idea thread. But I'd be interested to see how this action item that was adapted from an idea has impacted other levels and other platforms. I think it important that kano see the impact we as the players see. Perhaps in the end they will gain a greater understanding for why we ask for what we do and why we are disappointed or pleasantly surprised with ideas that are implemented. As for my level 5k. I'll just tell you this. It's been fairly worthless. Seeing as how my 5k is on kp2 the links just aren't there to list. The same poor 10 people were listed constantly for the smaller number achievement but I don't even attempt the 10K lists as it would require entirely too much chaining of the same 10 folks and that just isn't right.
not on my 5k. But I would more actively go for the next one on my 2k. and before haters freak out. the 2k is on kp1 the 5k is on kp2. different platforms.
you Know what. Let me rethink that. Yeah I would work at it again on my 5k too. At a much slower pace. Randomly here or there so as not to beat anyone down so much. but it would feel more attainable so I'd try to work towards it without too much impact on any one person.
I really don't understand why the honorable range tops out? Heck if my level 15K lists a level 40K, it is out of honorable range. Tsk Tsk. Should count for two.
