Elite and Legendary/Optimal Crafting Recipes Released for All Games

Thanks for getting some more crafting for us. I agree with most everybody else that it takes forever to acquire the items, to the point that by the time we're at a level to craft them, the attack/defense is almost if not already useless for increasing our battle strength in the overall scheme of things, compared to other options at our present levels (adventures/coop bosses/etc..).

 

Hey people, in a classic case of Murphy's law, @mi7ch is super sick and is out of action today. I just wanted to let you know that we're reading everyone's comments and and are reviewing the new recipes.

Getting them out turned out to be a bigger job than we expected and I'm certainly not going to rule out goofs on our (or my) part. After seeing all of your comments I'm expecting some changes to go out this week, hopefully even today.

Is there any point at all? For me at 5k level or higher i do not see any usefully for it beside the squad damage.

 

I don't know if there's something wrong with just my game, or everyone's VC, but looking at what's needed to craft a regular one of these items, it tells me that I need an elite version of that item, plus some other item. What's going on here?

 

@Jme , it sound like you might be looking at a Reverse Recipe. You can break Elites back down into the base level items. You can also break Optimals/Legendaries down into Elites.

Other than that, the base level items shouldn't be craftable from other other stuff. They are acquired when you fight certain bosses.

 

Just curious what you do after you craft this junk lololololol?

Hey everyone,

So after reading feedback on the forums about the new crafting, we went back and had a good look over the recipes. We took particular care to review details like the number of inputs in the new recipes compared to the numbers required in the past, and also checked up on the background art.

In light of your comments, we're going to be releasing some adjustments to bring the World Boss recipes back in line with what has been done in the past and make them more accessible.

We're also going to fix the VC item backgrounds -- it looks like the Elite and Legendary items got their mixed up somewhere along the line, so we'll swap them back around.

If you were thinking of crafting some of the new World Boss recipes, I would strongly suggest you hold off until the updates are out -- we're hoping to make some changes today and I will post again when they are live.

If you've already crafted items whose recipes were changed in the update, you can contact Support with a list of the items you crafted and get the extra inputs you used added back into your inventory. Please don't wait too long to do this, though -- this type of thing is much easier to arrange if the item was recently crafted, and Support will have hard time digging through inventory information if a whole week has gone by.

As a final note, I would like to say that the new crafting was my baby-- I coordinated the teams that put together the recipes, produced the assets, and released them into the game -- so responsibility for any goofs lies with me. Please don't give @Smack @mi7ch or our people in Support a hard time, they've been doing good work.

The good part was that you released in all games the crafting for the last two locations, not just one, as we expected.

 

I would like you to have another baby called crafting past legendary, could care less what it's called but it's long overdue

UPDATE

Alrighty! Some updates to the new World Boss crafting recipes are due to roll out pretty quick, as are the fixes to the new Viking Clan Elite and Legendary item backgrounds.

If anything has been missed or you have other feedback, please keep the discussion going! We've got a bunch of stuff on the go here around mobile updates and the coming newsletter, but we're keeping an eye on the forums as well, even if we aren't making many posts.

I don't want to be Whaleboned! I would have saved up my Netcasters had I knew that Elites would be available one day. Doesn't seem fair, but what else is new in this game? Surely there can be an exception made to allow some uncrafting of Whalebones and Composite Bows? I also agree on being able to craft old legendary stuff into something higher up. I can't craft anything useful anymore below the Svartalfeim level.

 

I hope so for you but I think it ain't going to happen. I remember the first elites long time ago. Most mob wars players had crafted their Smoking Jackets into Czar's Velvet Coats and were unable to uncraft them to make Elite Smoking Jackets.

 

I know I know, but it doesn't hurt to ask lol

 

You know i have been one of the biggest advocates of crafting. And smack also knows this. Is there more crafting coming down the pipeline for other parts of the game. Since you said the new crafting was your baby. Can you coordinate with them again and get some battle drops from the fights and arenas to be crafted into elites and legendary also. There is so much room for upgrades in crafting.

Wouldn't it be easier if those of us who have crafted up just uncraft these recipes? Otherwise, you guys are going to be bombarded with tickets in Support. I personally don't care to go through everything and send a ticket in on it. Easier to uncraft.
