I get so many "annoyed" messages from allied guilds saying one of my members attacked them, AND from my own members asking why this person attacked them, they're an alliance! I've asked this before, but why can't the font used for "alliance member" be another color besides green? Perhaps orange.......The green font looks too much like "online now" when you're quickly going down list esp when doing daily GPs. I've hit alilance members myself this way. I just think changing the font color would be an easy way to tell this apart, and easy to implement.
I don't see much benefit in having an alliance in guilds. It can be too much trouble, and guilds work best without an alliance, in my opinion. The only time when alliances should occur is if it's a guild that is directly related.
This has been brought up and shot down before. I agree with what Jades said. Alliances don't really do anything for you. I have a few. But I drop them in a heartbeat if there's a "problem" that can't be worked out.
These are all noted, but if you DO want to keep an alliance, it's still a problem. I agree that they sometimes cause more problems because of the accidental hitting, which is why I was bringing this possible solution up.
yell at your members to send invites to all alliance members on a regular basis. that's what we do. problem solved. if they won't mob up with you, they deserve to get their bottoms blasted.
We do that, and agree, but new members come and go. Changing the font just seems like an easy solution.
If you are in an alliance they should be happy to help you get your daily points. I don't understand the players that get upset because someone attacked them alliance or not. If all the alliance means we don't attack each other then they are pointless.
Once upon a time, alliances stood for banding together to fight other syndicates. It seems that this doesn't happen much any longer, though.
Nothing against a different color but I don't understand the big problem. Just send a message "sorry, this was a mistake" and a join request. That said, I agree with Jared, alliances are useless, I never saw any help request from allies. And when they are on the hitlist, I try to kill them.
I agree that alliances are pretty useless and it is easy to send the "sorry, this was a mistake" message but sometimes players don't even notice then you have messages from irate players for breaking alliances. That becomes a pain in the butt.
