Kirsten, some players spend all day posting PKs in world chat. Why not retaliate by killing their RAIDs ? To me, camping on RAIDs is worse than killing them. RAIDs that have been killed can still defeat the boss but if people camp they will never be defeated. Choose your lesser evil. Especially when the campers join 200+ RAIDs with the majority (and a lot started by noobs who are no position to finish them) never defeated. P.S. I am not a new member - I am The Despised.
I kinda like the idea that you need to be oh say level 1500 to even join a raid. Make those who want to create alts work Ingame for a while. Also lets us bounty and slap them if they do stupid things to a raid.
Actually, on thinking, the new change to show helped enough just helps the campers letting hem know they can wander off and leach from another one - well done Kano, another unnecessary backward step along with highlighting post types in the chat because of course, no of us can actually read ( and don't quote DDA because that is not pertinent).
...In regards to these RB's and the Sad Rewards...You have 6...SIX top rewards...but if a player finishes off 4th...They get the Brown "Boobie Prize"...The raid Boss OWNER should get a reward that is Special...of a Higher value...I never bother to start one of my own...why bother...there is No Incentive IMO...ALL 6 "Superior" rewards should be awarded...and These rewards should have a value of AT LEAST the current "Limited Quantity" value...I consider All these rewards to be "Boobie Prizes"...at this point I only do them for the Leveling because not one of these will I use to "Equip" with(I have 1 at the moment in "Equip" which I'm sure will be replaced before long) as none beat what I have acquired by other means in the game...Incentive...that is KEY to People being interested...up the stakes and Everybody wins! AND PLEASE Fix the "Point Plunge"...it's getting better but it should be FIXED by now...been a Very Long time for it to Still be a "Glitch"!
more misguided thoughts. The rewards for the bosses are of a decent value, their distribution is however wrong. Should a lvl 200 who starts a boss, then relying on lvl 6k+ helpers, get a high reward when the 6k+ helpers get something daft ???? The XP rewarded for attacking RAIDs is very good which is why the high levels do anything on them at all. People constantly whinge about getting more XP for actions when it is utterly undeserved. Any changes to increase rewards devalue the effort already put in by the higher levels who started years ago, noobs to realise that they can't just catch up and need to put in similair effort to get to the same position.
Joining a raid boss should be restricted to levels 200 and above. level 200 takes a few days, gives you enough time to find alts, and will reduce the amount of alts created just to wipe raids.
Quite a good incentive to encourage more actions by players would be to tier the XP gained for attack/heal actions as a percentage of your level. i.e. someone level 5k does 1k actions, gets 20% of normal XP per action but when they get to 10k actions, they get 200% normal xp this would get people getting as high a number of actions against bosses as they could to get a better XP return
One dearly needed change is the addition of a raid party health bar on the bosses page. This will help reduce wipes from people putting in actions while another is attacking and will let those who have a lot of energy find raids that need healing more easily.
Sadly, if karma existed, it would mean i then move my efforts to trawling accounts and posting PKs in the world chat. Of course, that would be after I have set up a chat group and FB page dedicated to like minded people, fed up with campers, to spread the 3 kills among us to ensure all public RAIDs were sabotaged. There are many of us.
Someone may have posted this earlier but I still think the boss owner should be able to disable anyone that joins if their behavior warrants it. For example, some only attack because they just want the XP, don't care about the reward and never heal after themselves or only heal just enough to quality for a reward. They never kill the party but leave the health low. As soon as someone heals after them, they do it all over again. Benching won't solve this problem of no healing. Yes, I know that people shouldn't post in the Job Chat or in their main feed and should only send invites to players that will play correctly. Sometimes you don't know how someone will play until they join and if they don't heal repeatedly, the boss owner should have control over what happens in their boss. Giving the owner the ability to disable the players that ruin the event would help solve the lack of healing problem.
You seriously need to do something about the rewards too... I joined the last re-used raid 4 times and was ranked as 1, 3, 2 and 1 which mean i got 2 common items and 2 superior items How about you let the 5 who done most damage/heals get a superior item ?? Only thing raids are good for if you're high-leveled with loads of stamina/energy is flying through levels with a useless reward in return
