Here's a good example. This guy tries to chain me but runs into the ambushes I had set and luckily stops not knowing that I didn't have anymore left so I go to set more ambushes up and get this: That's right, almost 2b just for the first ambush. Oh, that's because it says I attacked him too you say? No, those are my ambushes counting as attacks, I haven't attacked him since last week. Even if I wanted to spend that cash for an ambushing, it still costs 2 stamina and I only get half the XP I would from a normal attack. What happened to getting 1.5x the XP or whatever it was?! So I go to list him since he's hiding in the ER and I can't attack him back and this is what I'm presented with: That's right ... 300b. Seriously, nobody is going to spend that when they can make up the XP loss with 2 attacks and neither of the first two hitlists were even from me. What am I supposed to use now, harsh language?! These game mechanics are not incentives for me to spend real cash on the game.
Oh, and here's what these changes have done to stop the chain listing ... I get punched by newbie players all day long. Since there is an achievement for hitlisting, I will usually list them once and move on. But now that my potential targets are almost non-existent, this is what happens: Before the changes, this guy would have died once. But even with the ridiculous changes, this newbie who probably has no clue what's going on, died five times before the cost of listing was no longer worth it. These changes aren't going to stop the "bullying", it's just going to make the cheaper targets get bullied more.
I must be really bored - looking through 5 year old threads! Anyways, funny how ambushes and raising hitlist costs have just become the accepted rules of the game and no one really even notices it anymore. And not sure about FB LCN, but even with a base cost to hitlist of almost 2 trillion, I still get hitlisted a couple of times a week. New ideas are always met with resistance in the beginning but eventually they just become the norm and are accepted as the way things are. I wonder if people still feel the same as above and just accept it or if people changed their minds after years of playing?
I don't even pay attention to the experience from an ambush. If I ever ambush it is only to try and catch the attacker off guard and try to get a kill. I typically get ambushed from people who got on my rivals trying to kill me off the hitlist and then many brag in Kong chat how I am leveling them up...... so a far different response than it seemed to be originally from above posts. Now I can do 1000 attacks and be ambushed 800 of those attacks. I don't see the logic in trying to level using 2 stamina and paying for each one personally myself but then I have leveling partners so if i want to level, it is easier for me to level with 1 stamina and twice the experience per attack. Isn't using two stamina and getting half the experience per attack actually equaling 1/4 the experience per stamina? LOL But hey, if that makes players like King and Gram on Kong eel like winners, good for them!
