[PC] Raid Boss BETA #2

Discussion in 'Announcements' started by mi7ch, Dec 12, 2014.

  1. Mi7ch,

Either the developers don't know what they're talking about (which I'd be inclined to believe given their horrible track record) or they're feeding you a pile of manure. I compared notes with other players with half my level and half my skill points allocated to attack and THEY DID THE EXACT SAME AMOUNT OF DAMAGE TO THE RAID BOSS for the same attack. Moreover, the number of players on a given raid boss made absolutely no difference with respect to the amount of damage per attack or the amount of party health gained for each heal. The only apparent difference was in the maximum party health.

So, no, you don't hit harder at all with more points allocated to attack. The only thing which makes you hit harder is having high party health, and that is it, period.

And to be honest, Kano is doing a very poor job of listening to the community lately. Do the developers even care anymore? Or is the CFO running the show now?

You are bringing raid bosses back too soon....they have a lot of potential but as they are now they unbalance the game. And seriously, couldn't it wait until after the holidays??? If your bottom line is hurting so much it is because through your actions you continue to feed players perceptions that you are only interested in the bottom line. Running these events bi-weekly is simply too much. Period. Due to their size, Raid Boss events should be held quarterly. Heck, armada wars should be once a month. I'm sorry but arena is a running joke now. 'hey you killed me. I told you my arena name is Pirate!!' Please, add new worlds, improve the interfaces (specifically how the clan list is arranged). Get back to basics for a while. Get a handle on the players using scripts. Thank you for the new IC spots btw. There are just so many things in the basic game that could be improved to challenge players to build their pirates by crafting, etc. Yes keep challenging us, but get away from forcing us to use more and more resources to participate. Many of us are simply getting burned out on the game; some are extremely frustrated as you well know. Events such as Raid Bosses and Armada Wars should be the icing on the cake, not the cake.

2k actions. Are u serious??.wow..i just dont think this is a realistic number for low levels. they arent going to be able to do this on very many bosses.. Im thinking 500+1k is probably a better range. It requires just a bit more work..but doesnt make it excruciating to do on more than 2 bosses. My opinion is that this probably makes it harder for the higher levels to get lower level help. If higher levels want to have to spend more..this is the way to make it happen :p

2k isnt that many for low lvls at all they lvl with 100 stam if that they gain lvls insainly fast already and this makes them gain lvls even faster.

2k seems to be a fair number but i think it should have to have healing involved with that so that you dont get as many people attacking and nothing else

well. This time, raid was improved.
    1. Keys were dropping fast for me, but not when I tried to start my 2nd. so I gave up. but some people had trouble finding keys.
    2. Boss was beatable, good health and good time.
    3. healings were increased.
however last time tiers were much better comparing this time. i.e 0-1500 levels or 0-2000 levels would be acceptable. but plus point we beat our raids with the minimum help of 1st tiers. I'm afraid is it making lower level people isolated. cause not everyone playing according to rules and some people are dumb.

I'd like to suggest and point out important factors.

    1. Still the drops are unacceptable.
people who does millions of damage deserve a good drop. at least people who did more than 10million. because it's lot of time, money and team effort.
    2. minimum 250 attacks is not good. at least make it 1000.
There is a new trend I noticed in few raids there are lot of piggy back riding. That is unfair. 10% of people doing more than 75% of the damage and get a crappy item and people who do 250 and less than 1million damage still gets a good item. what a bull. personally I'm thankful to all my handpicked friends who made it possible to kill my raid. but I'm unhappy because people who did more than 64million damage on my raid couldn't get a good reward. so if you cant do the rewards right at least make a fair deal but making the min actions between750-1000.

after all I hope all enjoyed the raid this time. can see that by looking at the numbers of replies on this thread.

That's just on your boss. You can't keep them off other bosses and one (well only one I'm thinking of) may join a boss you're on after you have joined it already. KANO has to address the issue.

First Off I don't open my own boss, I join other players bosses and this one player may not be on it when I join but will prob get on it at some point, so to say don't invite him or others like him,is not gonna work, there needs to be something along the lines of someone who wipes the raid health twice( which is twice too many times) and then everyone else who attacks gets less xp while the that person can't attack at all, makes no sense to make it less for the rest of the team who can still attack, but a vampire whose excuse is "WHY SHOULD I WASTE MY ENERGY ,let others use theirs, that is just a selfish Prik,he knows what he is doing he won't kill the raid health he just waits like a sniper till someone heals and then before they can attack he attacks it and leaves it in the red again, and goes on to the next boss and so on and so on, and Kano said they would come up with something and it has been almost two weeks and now they say they don't have enough time.Well that stinks, besides bring the raid boss back two weeks earlier.

Can someone please acknowledge all of the issues we have been bringing up? Also - who's bright idea was it to run an arena on Christmas day in PC (fb)?

Really and truly the only way to avoid vampires is 1. to go invite only on your own, and 2. to refrain from bosses posted on the job board, b/c the vampires will be trolling them ALL......will suck for little mates without adequate clan or enough knowledge of the situation to understand why no one is joining their bosses. :(

we are well into the raid event now. the opportunists are doing their 1000 heal actions, to ensure their drop, and attacking all they want. leaving the raid health low on a regular basis. I think the 2000 actions, 1000 heals was a good idea (or there would be zero heals). I think an Even Better Idea would require a percentage of total actions to be heals..........I am thinking oh, 50%. Just sayin

I and many of my friends have a REAL concern that the Raid Boss events are far too often and are unbalancing the game. It would be an awesome Special Event, (consensus is two or three a year). If you do them once a month, your game is basically for sale to whoever wants to spend the most money. I am not against spending money on the game, but I think the spirit of the game is lost with the massive levels some players are gaining in such a short time. Sometimes the player taking so many levels puts himself at a great disadvantage, too. PLEASE PLEASE reconsider the frequency of this event. It is my Christmas Wish. Thanks! (and happy holidays)

Mitch, Please tell us when the next Raid Boss will be out. I have now seen two dates - Jan 15 (MUCH too soon) and Jan. 29th (also too soon, but better). Last Boss had NO advance info. Even if the particulars aren't ready yet, at least give us the correct dates. Thanks and Happy New Year to ye!

In Post # 29 Mitch said

The upside of that is that Pirate Clan won't see another Raid Boss until pretty much the last day in January.
