[ZS] Ambush rework

Should ambushes be unbeatable?

  1. No. They should diminish attack but not be unbeatable.

    The only problem i have is people wont attack me much so i cant use them as much as i used to :p

    the way i have said here i have never stated on a previous idea before and when i wrote the post i hadnt read all of the posts only the top couple. but after i posted i read the rest so any more reasons as to why you dont like the idea i have proposed here for how to fix/revamp the counters?

    demonik1- the way you can minimalize alt abuse is by having the xp start good but slowly go down as the person puts more counters on so it is a trade off higher deffence for less xp because you are takeing less damage will explain more when i get back later

    help lower levels to abusively use it against higher level. No wonder I keep getting hammered everyday by a level 1k.

    sorry for expanding on my idea so late just had alot to do today and can finally sit down and further expain now-

    ill use example percents and numbers to make it easier to understand:
    maximum 50 counters aloud to be placed on a select person at any given time.

    the first ambush would have 50% more defence power and give 100xp(if won) then the next one would have 100% boost with a 95 xp reward if won then 150% to 90xp, 200% to 85xp, 250% to 80xp 300% to 75 350% to 70 400% to 65 450% to 60 500% to 55 xp, 600% to 50 700% to 45 800% to 40 900% to 35 1000% to 30xp then the rest of the ambushes would be that percentage of 1000% to 30xp

    then these would stay in place for the next 24 hrs all traps would stay on the select person until he attacks you but the numbers would reset back to 50% to 100xp every 24hrs

    The higher the difference between the income of you and your enemy, the cheaper the cost it would be to ambush your enemy. What kind of nonsense idea is that? Nowadays people don't use ambush to defense themselves against enemy at their level range because its freaking expensive, they would rather punch some higher levels then start ambushing given that they can survive the first few attacks. Then they come here whining bout being bullied/listed/punched everyday by moron higher levels LOL

    i think there just fine the way they are and should not be change ... and you do make more xp by using them ...

    Of course I stacked the deck :p the option is there it's just worded in a way.....hahaha

    I'm not saying make them ineffective entirely just hey throw us a gift now and then and have one be a dud, or go from 100% to 1000% like they do with the calendar payouts. Doesn't have to be often but once in a while to not see the same message would be fun ;)

    quite simply put there is a natural protection built in for low levels against high levels. They can't attack you if you don't attack them. So sorry it's your only defense doesn't quite work as a reason not to change it.

    Never seen the amount you can set go down but then I don't set them. and those that set them on me certainly put more than 12 a day up and they are my Fightlist so it's certainly well used.

    not exactly. If my fl sets 41 a day (which they do) and I fight through them, they stay cheap. Or they set them as I attack so they stay reasonable.

    wow who'd have thought folks would be so protective of a system that allows you to be weak. But okay then.

    I'm not saying take them away, although I think they are way out of hand personally. I came with a compromise. Something to make it not the same ole thing every time. Something that might actually encourage us to USE our fightlists again.

    But yeah I guess I worded that last option correctly. If You NEED them well.........

    I don't know why I try to come up with ideas. We'll just keep staring at each other. That works MUCH better.

    Its not a matter of needing them....personally i like to use them to piss people off and it works well as the kills keep piling up. Its especially fun when your opponent is clueless to the amount of deaths youve handed to them haha

    Well in your defense, i agree that zs counters are a bit off...my game is vc and once you ge to a certain level youre only allowed 10 counters total, i wishe we had 40 to play with lol with the att limit over there it should only be 10 like on vc

    My opinion is leave them as they are..I dont use them very often at all anymore...but i know many do..When i have used them the greatest thing i learned about them was to kill with a counter...LOL...love that :p ... It is the one line of defense a viking has that offers a strong stand...if they have the gold to buy em...Im going to vote to keep them as they are...even though i dont NEED them...as it says..:cool::rolleyes:

    I will use counters(ambushes)them and also traps( rigs),for certain players,for certain reasons , and think in two of my games 10 is enough, but 75 in another game is alot, 41 in ZS ehhhhhh still feel 10 is enough. When someone sets alot, cause I may know their pattern of playing I won't go thru them and they cannot set someone else cause they reached the limit and they just collect dust. lol,

    We all come up with ideas and we all have pros and cons about them, that is what makes the forum interesting, we can actually talk about them without the drama,( usually lol ) and sometimes in a great while, Kano takes one and uses it or part of it.

    This is actually one of Kirsten's more welcome posts. I couldn't agree more. Keep those ideas coming, Alter Ego. If they don't happen, they don't happen. But you never know, Kano does make changes to the games periodically.

    I think I would prefer that Ambushes affect anyone who attacks you not a specific person with a cap of 50 (The more active you have the more the next one cost) and lower the % power increase down to 50%.

    That way we have a good stand your ground defense where we can try to survive, but it's not that ALL MIGHTY /Win button.

    I dislike the Ambush guarantees a win part that irks me.

    The more someone attacks you compared to how much you have retaliated the cheaper the price is, so ya have to keep an eye on your attacks or how many times you are attacked, the way it works is fine IMO,and for most of us ,I know for me, It won't stop me from going thru them in most instances.

    if they want to eat counters i sure will feed them to them ... its a good tool to use on the ones that like att alot ... :D
