This is something we actively investigate, and we appreciate players reporting suspicious accounts to us. Why do you make reporting players difficult? it should be possible to report a player ananomousley. you should then beable to check out the player reported to see if it is true. there are players online all the time and your systim is not noticing them? please do somethin about this players shering acconts thankyou
@unimpressed Reporting players can easily be done by clicking on the "Report Player" button on their profile page, although it does require making a Support account (which we always recommend because you never know when you'll need it). Every communication with Support is completely confidential. Also due to the sensitive nature of the information involved (as we are dealing with someone's social network account) results of an investigation can not be discussed. We are always trying to cut down on the number of alternate accounts in the game and we always appreciate it when players report suspected alt use to us.
its still too long of a process...why cant you just make a link on everyones profiles that sends in a default report kind of like in the chats? that would make it easier for everyone
Although Im not a huge fan of the whole "ticket" thing....I do like that its a bit of a process to report players. A simpler/faster way would just mean a flood of BS reports that would take away from investigating the the true bad guys/gals. If someone truly believes that someone is cheating and they actually have something substantial to back it up than why wouldnt they take the time to report them? greaat news on the on the elite/legendary items...TY!
Im with you on this one. i was going to report a suspicous account, but i cant deal with the process. i have also heard that some of the cheats pay lots into the game and get away with cheating as kanos will loss money banning them. i hope this is not right
Polish is correct in that a two-step process is essential to mitigating some "false positive" reports when a player wants to report someone who just killed them on the Bounty list or what have you. While it might be a tiny bit annoying, it helps weed out extraneous reports. Besides, if you're thinking of reporting someone for cheating, chances are someone else has reported them as well.
its just really annoying when you submit a ticket about alt or abandoned accts that you know for a fact to be true and nothing happens
Again this is all a matter of perception. We do our due diligence with reported accounts; I know this because I've done more than a few myself and frozen my fair share of cheaters/alt users.
perception, huh? lol if it were as easy as perception then all that would have to be done is for you or whoever "investigates" is play the game...you would perceive alot more. i know we cant name names but ive been told flat out about certain accts that are abandoned and yet i see them logging in daily and throwing bounties to a certain couple of people that due to your tou must remain nameless
is it not your job to check all complaints. to say someone else may have reported it. they may think i have reported it so it does not get reported thank you for your replys
It is extremely easy to make an account to report someone as it is to make the report ticket, once you make the account for sending a ticket for whatever support you need it is always there, just like ya had to make a forum account, it killed no one, some of you want everything done for you, just send in the report ticket for gods sake.
