i dont think the chat really works well on facebook just take a look at the picture and youll understand why. so you see what i mean now, and yes i know i can close it but what an anoyance to have to constantly open it back up time and time again to see what your armada is posting or your group is postion. i think it should go back to the way it was before because it was good IMO just needed a couple tweaks but nothing much but now with this new model of chat facebook just doesnt have enough room for it
That really is a bad design...good that even if banned you can now see it and report...but bad position for it... the lower chat itself is in a bad place to...and try opening both at once...not pleasant...
ya i couldnt agree with you more i think they might have rushed to get this out so they could get back to the new location but seriously just not well thought out for how it would look on facebook. it suits kanoplay ok but it just looks a little off there but sertanly not as off as it does on facebook lol.
oh and one more thing that i found that is wrong with the new chat model is that you cant see what time somebody posted a comment. this is for both facebook and kanoplay.
All I can say is I do not care for it for where it is, it is in the way and then it flashes to shrink down, and Nope not liking it, I would prefer it the way it was , non intrusive
We may have to try a couple different locations for it, where it was previously was very underutilized. We made a series of changes to the armada/faction chat. Because the game is in a iframe it is difficult to find a side position that works for all resolutions. What we may have to do is dock it to the right of the game when there is enough room, when there isn't have it overlap the game.
LOL....so the tab got moved but the window itself is essentially in the same place only moved over about a half inch more in the way? Its nice to have something to chat for free but to be honest Im underwhelmed with this one. The obvious has been pointed out numerous times now...ADD NAMES! Half the players in Kanoplay/MS dont even have avatars the other half seem to change there avatar every other day. If u dont know whos chatting half the time then whats the point? Honestly...just get rid of the thing and use the time to work on something else...the Wc is not optimal but its enough.
This chat update was targeted to improve the in-game chat based on the success we have seen from an update to zs chat in game on armor games. We will be re-releasing the in-game chat update this week once figure out a way that works better for lower resolution monitors, as always feedback is appreciated. In-game chat will have images and names from the game with improved link sharing (re-write boss links to Level x Boss Name). Our main goal with the new update is to increase usage for factions/guilds/syndicates/armadas as well as world chat. Having the chat in it's current location is not ideal to use while playing and we are not maximizing the use of space on the different platforms. The chat on KP will be revisited with profile names etc on Kano Play once we get a KP profile together. The goals with Kano Play chat are not the same as the in-game chat.
well whatever you do, make it so that the chat can be open while doing things in game....you cant bounty hunt with it open which pretty much kills it for most...if anything just make the world chat free instead of making people buy speakers...its already in place and out of the way
Totally agree. I couldn't care less about things being more or less "persistent" from one chat to the next.
I pretty much could care less about the world chat, it only seems to cause more drama anyway and people run their mouths , and then I have to list them, as far as free I know I would be getting into trouble telling some DA off , so having free speakers would only add to the chance of me being banned lol but I agree with Demonik, it is fine where it is.
