Facebook Offsite Game Policy Change

As December 5th gets close there has been 1 main question asked and I dont have an answer..so here I am...LOL..below is the quote from the most recent TGIF :

Facebook announced a change to their policy regarding offsite versions of games on Facebook that will take effect December 5th, 2012.


The question i have been asked is this...do we have to join kanogames.com to log in or can we use the fb.kanogames.com......????

 

If I understand what you originally said, I think this is an opportunity for Kano to merge platforms somewhat.

I think you have a simple choice: take the canvas version to say www.kanoapps.com/VC, let whom ever sign up using their ID's from FB / MS (!!!!!!), give them a new ID for the "web" version that does not correspond to the FB ID (is translated i.e. +1000000000000 to the FB number), and bring it!

The limitations mentioned will be rectified by the players themselves in their respective "universes" be they Myspace or Facebook. In practice, I play both canvas and FB at the same time. So for me, I will play both web and FB at the same time or ... both web, FB and MS at the same time.

With respect to the latter, if this is to be avoided (its a battle game!), login restrictions to "one" VC account should apply. or choices to "move" over from MS to the common web version or not, be presented.

Note: many folks from MS have expressed to me, that they would do fine if not better v. FB folks at the same level. I think MS'r might have an edge, slight, level for level. I think also the issue of two accounts is less so in the "game" as it is played today but of course, not at once: cash transfer or XP machines i.e. "two screening" by one person.

Ya know, someone needs to tell facebook to suck it up. dont they know that these games and developers make their site what it is?? My only point is that whatever you can do on the "desktop" version, you should be able to do in the mobil version. That means challenges, boss helps ( and i mean all of them). As of this writing, you can see precious little in regards to the bosses you are currently helping on. I mean, if someone finished their boss, and you needed to collect your reward, and your phone was the only way you had to do it, guess what??? that reward may go unclaimed. all because some features in the desktop version are not available in the mobil version. Same thing with turf wars/challenges...this has to improve. how to accomplish that??..thats a question best left for you guys. I would assume you could organize it under the various tabs that we already have in the mobil verson..
