Hello, I am new to this game, and am planning on spending a little cash to beef up my character by buying items such as the prison bus. I am under the impression it is possible to upgrade premium items from the UN. Is this true? And if so, do I upgrade the premium items with consumables such as vehicle parts and game cash, or do I need vehicle parts and UN credits to upgrade, or just UN credits? If it is UN credits, how much does it cost for an upgrade? I would also like to know if upgrading premium items stops at level 4, or if i can keep upgrading infinitely? I am also curious about upgrading the Striker and Defenders? I just bought a striker, and it seems that I can upgrade him for 2 UN credits. Is there a limit to how many times I can upgrade the Striker and Defender? or can those be upgraded infinitely? Hope anyone can help me with my questions. Thanks
you can upgrade the limited items up to level 4 and you need the same parts and cash, that you use for other items. for upgrading hired squad members you need UNs and I guess (not sure) that you can upgrade them just to level 4
In response to your upgrading of the of strikers and defenders. Not sure if there is a limit, I have upgraded mine 3 times each already and each time after the initial upgrade, its 10 UN's to do it. I play the game about 4 days before I upgrade as I have noticed that the attack and defense move up. So just watch how much you gain by clicking on the upgrade button first. Currently I have strikers that will upgrade from attack 1368 to 1480 defense 684 to 740 and then the defender would be just the opposite numbers. as it defends not attacks. Hope that helps a bit!
Strikers and Defenders are largely worthless. It's easier to just go to the Add Me thread and get someone that has higher stats than your current Striker/Defender hireable. And that's counting the 2% bonus they each grant. And real Top Squad members gain stats as they level up, without having to pay. And real human Top Squad members help you earn the "It's who you know" and "Magpie" achievements: Free money every few minutes. Really, unless you just don't know ANYONE, *AND* you don't want to add people to your Facebook or Myspace just for a game*, then S-ers and D-ers are pretty worthless, human TS'ers are better. * Why? What could you have possibly posted ON THE INTERNET that you don't want other people to know? Edit: Gear is awesome!
I have no members with over 1000 points attack, so as long as they all are under this stats, the hired squads are usefull to me IMO
Perhaps, but is your attack high enough to warrant that 1k+ attack on a single TS slot? Also, have you run into anyone that has a high enough defense to warrant a Striker?
Personally, I didn't know anyone on MySpace, because I hadn't really used it before. Since I had plenty of UN points, I got a few Strikers and Defenders. I upgraded them each a few times and I think I've done pretty well with them. I recently started adding strangers as friends so I could have real people in my TS (ones that would level and get better without my having to upgrade them). There are MANY benefits to having real players in your TS over Hired Squad members. BUT, if you don't know many people, they can really help. My Strikers and Defenders are still higher in attack and defense than my level 185 squad members, so they help a lot. Especially when the people I have to replace them with are 100+ levels below me and can't help much at all. There is a time and place for Hired Squad members, but they aren't cheap. I wish UN pts were rewarded just a little more often. Or started giving out 2 pts after a certain level.
