Just curious why do you craft? I had an idea crafting and when I posted in the new idea area it didn't get much of a response. just hoping to get more of an idea why others craft items.
There is no sound reason why you should get into crafting. Maybe there is a small advantage compared to regular equipment in the early stages, but sooner or later you will be able to rely on bossdrops or even un-items. Since I have already crafted every other secret item from previous cities, I am just going on for the sake of completeness...
Yeah I already have enough un items to support my character and then some. I threw out the idea to be able to craft limited items to make them better like the 30/36 un items. Never got any feedback so I was just curious why others craft.
You know, I put that same idea in the ideas thread and it go shut down as well... It seems like people would be on board to have recipies for old UN items, trick them out with some other items, and put some more UN into them, to make an old item comparable to the new items. but hey, nobody else seems to like the idea but you and me bud. I started crafting the items for a few reasons, 1 they look cool, 2 I get bored, 3 as rudI said, completeness. but rudI, um im nowhere near those levels so I would be of no help to you, Im sorry. Would be nice if kano dropped the "hints" for you at the very least tho.
Where are all the Admins and Moderators? Are you really just gonna ignore this? Its not that somebody had to put a lot of effort into that matter - you just have to care a tiny little bit. Nice community-work, you truly live up to your promises.
Sorry about the wait on this guys, there's been some miscommunication about who's dropping the hints these days. It's not that we don't like you or care, it was just a case of one person thinking a different person posted about it a while ago. Thunder Axe: 3 items 1 Gift 2 Drops, both consumable (One of these you don't want to have tossed at you, and one you wouldn't want to get passed in a relay.) War Wolf: 3 items 1 Drop (weapon) 1 Armor (purchasable) 1 Gift x10
Thx, appreciate your input. Now I get it - you count the spare parts as gifts. Had all the right items, but tried to find a 4-part solution. That way its kinda easy
War Wolf recipe I think there might be a problem with the hint for the War Wolf. By level 1915, there's only one weapon drop and one armor purchaseable in Anchorage, and I've tried all four Workshop builder parts (Vehicle, Weapon, Gear, Destructive part). Has anybody else had any success with it, or do any Kano employees have any further hints for us?
Well, IMHO, crafting seems to be a waste.......unless you are around my level or so and running into more than a handful of those -----I win /you win battles..... in which case, crafted destructables would tip the scales in your favor. Let's just say (as I am there myself) you are in New Orleans, with a random drop item that carries a +108ish benefit.....and you are hounded by some of those i win / you win battles.... a crafted item such as the Amber Sword that carries a +350 attack bonus would more than be beneficial to carry around. This does not mean that gathering the items needed to get said item aren't a pain in the arse, but if one had the desire to gather all items, it wouldn't be such a bad gig for him. Maybe he is reaching his 1000 consecutive fight win achievement....maybe just a 500..... and once he gets beat that 1 time, he says to himself 'never again'.....and does what he needs to do to ensure that it happens...and part of that is in crafting a more useful item. It wouldn't seem like that big of a waste of time for that guy, at that point in the game. For the guys without huge fight attributes, or who haven't been around for all that long, crafting can be utilized to be greatly beneficial. Just offering the point of view from a bit lower level perspective on this.
Well you just about hit the nail on the head blasphemy. Those are the 2 benefits of crafting, Low levels to get a boosted inventory that has no upkeep, and big destructive you can craft for a round of hunting, or a stiff fight. Other than that. i do the hidden recipes just to have it "unlocked" and well.., sometimes I get bored, and they look cool on your profile... not that anyone looks at my inventory on my profile except for me... but hey, You might be pleasantly surprised at what you see on there if you did look. Ps i posted the recipe for the war wolf on the recipe thread.
