Advertising on ZS??

Now, I know it's a need to generate funds to keep everyone here happy and continue with the game.....that much i know.... BUT this is really going to get annoying if I have to keep waiting 30 seconds to watch some video each and every time i refresh the page I have to watch something. Things like Punch Kills, where someone posts up a link and wants them dead and we can't get it because of a 30 second time out due to the advertising.

Maybe looking at something to the effect of once per hour, or once per 30 minutes would be more appropriate?? But not each and every time I get a link to open up someones page.

    Just food for thought.

Well Kano DID release ZS on a 3rd network fairly recent I THINK.

    Maybe it's there???

Blasphamy, the videos you are seeing are 3rd party and have nothing to do with Kano/Apps.

Are you talking about The UN videos? Thats your choice to watch them for FREE un.

Not to mention, you can just open up your game in another window while you "watch them"

    C'mon dude.

Kano gets paid when we watch the videos, this is a form of affiliate marketing.

Kano have no control over the videos this player is talking about.

No, I am talking about the straight link from Facebook...not an external link or whatever else. I'm not that well rehearsed in the full spectrum of this game, but each time I refresh my page it pulls up a little 30 second video.

@ Eraser - No, not the UN videos at the bottom of the page that you can click on to get 1. It's a random advertising thing.

If nobody else is seeing this, then I do so wonder what is going on. It doesn't happen on any other page for my browser. Not the Facebook regular page, not yahoo, not fantasy football, not Google....nothing. Only on Zombie Slayer.

I had thought that there was something going on that the game started doing it. If I am the only one out of this well educated group that is experiencing it, then it may be fair to start looking at what I have done in the last 24 hours.... but not sure I've done anything special.

I have not seen anything like this happening.

I can assure you that we at Kano are not forcing ads on your game. Further I cannot reproduce this on any Facebook application. I would do a check on your system for viruses/malware as I do not believe Facebook pops advertisements nor would they at the frequency you describe.

OK, so to close the loop......there was some additional programs that came with the installation of another program that somehow only managed to tag itself to ZS only. So, as if you guys ain't dogged on me enough, I welcome the 'dummy' comments that I'm sure will ensue. I appreciate all the feedback as it helped me zero in on what was the root cause.

No harm intended to Kano or ZS...but had to address the issue as it was only happening when I opened ZS to play. Thanks again. Problem solved.

Glad to hear that worked out for you Blasphamy, and I'm glad it wasn't a widespread issue.
