[PC] hide rival could be improved

When viewing the rival list, there is a option to hide a certain rival.

That only works if the rival doesn't re-attack.

The moment that rival attacks you have to hide them again.

The hide should stick regardless instead of having to keep rehitting it.

Yeah yeah I'm past level 6k why would I need to hide anyone for?

Fact is yes I am using it cause I don't want any mistakes happening.

If the hide was always suppose to stick then its a bug.

If it was designed the way it currently is then in all fairness its a terrible design.

  2. I don't have a problem with it the way it is.......I just pay attention to what I'm doing. :)

I'm just thinking of the low levels that might use this.

Last thing they want is to mistakenly hit a higher level thats on their rival list.

I'm sure at least a few lowers use this.

Fact is not everyone can pay attention for one reason or another.

Especially since once you click "hide" one would assume it auto hides that rival.

  4. Well, you know what they say when you assume things.

I realize it's not a permanent hide, so I'm careful. I hit a higher level once before I realized I would have to use the hide feature every time they hit me. I just learn as I play. I'm sure the lower levels can do the same.

After all, we don't need Kano to make this game idiot-proof. If they did, then what would we do besides log in and click indiscriminately?

Really just seems like a flaw in the design.

    Whatever admin says about it.

    Nothing is 100% idiot proof.

    Take bounty hunting for example.

    Nothing idiot proof about it.

Making the hide on the rival list a perm stick for the duration that rival is on the list for isn't asking for idiot proof.

It's something that should of always been that way.

Obviously final decision is up to Kano.

I have noticed this, too, but I like it the way it is for one reason... even if I don't attack or punch/slap/whip back, I can set another rig if someone keeps listing/bountying me, if I don't retaliate in any other way... like the wonderful Jillian said, you just have to be careful instead of just blindly clicking away, not just on the rival list, but in all aspects of the games... by the way, I did not rate this thread (or ghost vote, obviously)...

I can go either way on this one i see protector theory on it but i also see jillian point also. And i think the easiest thing is if u don't want to hit someone on your rivals list that is above you you shouldn't have been put on there rival list to begin with. And yeah i know it can be a whip or something that puts someone on a rival list but usually your on someone's rival list for the most part going after there bounty or thinking u can beat them and lose. Won't vote either as its already midway might vote at a later date. If there is a better argument to both sides.

i see it as if a lower levelers are bounty and higher levelers hit it it falls on there rival list...

so i can see The Protector point on this one i give it a 10 ...

Or it's just a in range rival you don't want to hit by mistake for one reason or another.

Or it's a little wimp you don't want to waste stam on.

Or it's in fact a higher level you don't want to attack by mistake.

And remember it's not your choice who ends up on your rival list.

That hide should at least stick so you don't hit someone by mistake.

After all it's not like you always ask someone to appear on your rival list.

Any admin going to address this?

Wouldn't that include a lot of the clicking for some? lmao

This whole idea would be a waste of money in re coding something that's not broken. If it's a persistent attacker I want to know so I can have payback time regardless of their level of strength!

to me when you hide someone it should stay that way and not keep coming back it would not take much for this to be tweaked...

Any admin going to address this?
