I think that when someone trips your trap they should be put at the top of your rivals list. They made an attempt to kill you and even if it didn't work they should still be there. It's just like ambushes with attacking.
Nah as it has already been mentioned by kano that traps and counters dont land a player on the rival list. Tripping a trap and then not going through with it means you gained exp and they lost exp. Why would they get landed on your rival list?To lose more exp?
Yes but that's a personal strategy used to foil enemy plans usually used on an enemy. In any way you look at it they still took the action that would normally harm a slayer. Sometime friends list me to keep me from resetting or leveling too early, does that mean that personal strategy should keep them off my rivals?
If they actually list you then it went through,you lose exp,and of course they'll land on your list. If they hit a trap and don't go through with it,they lose exp,you gained exp,why should they land on your list?
They should land on your rivals because each time you have to booby trap them, the price goes up and it can get ridiculously high. So you are having to spend money in an effort to stop them from killing you.

And they won't land on yours if that's the ONLY thing they did. Traps and counters don't count as actual attacks that'll reset the timer. So why should they land you on the rival list for? Both are DEFENSIVE not offensive. Anything defensive by itself should not land you on the rival list(which it currently doesn't)
ive had people set off a trap i had on them and they landed on my rivals page ...even within the last week
Yes and the point of this thread is that while people are attempting to make an offensive move against you(successful or not) it should put them on your rivals list. Anything in terms of offense should put you on the rivals list. Hell this morning I was about to level and went to list somebody that I knew had a booby trap so I wouldn't waste excess stamina, but I should still go on the rivals list for making the attempt to kill him.
Forget eating your trap landing on your rivals, How about somone having a trap on you, or an ambush? Why was that taken of of rival placement? Sure it shows up on the rivals if its already on there, but it dont count if they are not already placed on the rivals. I think its total BS. Somone traps or ambushes me, They earned a place on my rivals.
I think because of the nature of ambushes/booby traps it was taken off. It's bullshit and you should get put on someones rivals both ways but I think the way Kano sees it is this. Someone is harassing a player and that player doesn't want to be attacked so they use counter attacks. As long as nothing but a counter is used you won't show up anymore. The point of these are to get people off your case, and if you're on someones rivals they are most likely going to try and kill you. I can understant their logic behind it but at the same time anything that harms or would harm another player should put you on the rivals list.
the players i was talking about was NOT on my rivals page at the time they triggered the trap and wound up on there as a result of doing so
Yeah this is a glitch that happens every once in a while and I am trying to turn it into a game mechanic so it happens all the time
