[ZS] Close the Idea section

I have an idea.
Why not close the idea section so players do not have to get in a quarrel about it's a good idea or not.
For if we are honest then there is no reason to have this idea section.
Kano takes only 1 maybe 2 ideas in the course of a year and implement in the game.
Kano could open the section once a year, and the 3 ideas that get the most votes during 1 week is the winner and if Kano's small team else can get the time, they implement the ideas during the year.​

That way we would also have a chance to know what Kano will add to the game in the future.

 

I think Kano looks at all the ideas, but they have said in the past ...they are looking for ideas that all ready fit into the direction they have been looking at. With that said.....I think Kano implements some of the simpler "convenience" ideas players come up with fairly regularly.

A lot of really good ideas come across these forums....the problem with most is that they simply wont work with out drastically affecting another aspect of the game adversely, kinda like Newton's third law--"every action has equal reaction in the opposite direction".

Sure...the idea section of the forums gets a lil outta control at times and the rating system is pretty much a joke, but at least all the ideas get funneled to one section so they are readily accessible and doesnt get buried beneath all the other crap. If one outta 100 ideas actually gets accepted....Im thinking were doing pretty well.

So Im hoping to keep the idea section, maybe just a lil revamping of the rating sytem which has been discussed numerous times. No more ghost votes and players being able to set aside their differences and rivalries and have an intelligent convo on an ideas pros and cons would go alooooong way to benefit the games we all obviously enjoy.

 

The ideas section is usually the most interesting to read tho!!!!

I like seeing what people come up with, and how they react to different ideas.

And could you immagine the rush of ideas if it was limited time???? You would see me cranking out 10 ideas a day.

You would also have the oposite too, A lot of the most active community memebers almost never come here sadly. They could have Some good suggestions, and valuable opinions and just miss the buzzer.

I think this idea has some merit. I can see what/why you're suggesting it. but I like this way better. So i vote a 5 (higher than it is now)

 

The reason they don't come here anymore is that nothing comes out of it. Give me the latest new thing on ZS (other than the arena(and the arena was not on the most wanted list for ZS, you should know that)) that has come from this section ?

General A lot including myself is tired of writing and voting on excellent ideas when nothing is gonna be implemented anyway.
We will get a new location every 2 month with two bosses and a challenge and we will get a monthly calendar and sometimes a 3 days calendar. Give me a surprise ? Ive been waiting all year.

 

I could see some revision done to it, Like lets say, the votes are eliminated except for once (or twice) A year.


You leave the thread open, for people to still post ideas, and comment, all year long... So some of the easy to do ideas that just create a little convinence can still be pulled from it, and put in on a regular basis.

but when it comes time for whats really comming up next, Have the developers select 25 or 50 ideas, and we all get to vote, not good or bad, but which ones we want to see. Say we all get to pick the 3 or 5 we want to see the most.

 

Most idea's are a joke and those that are implemented should have been if Kano were on the ball in the first place.
It should be renamed the "BEGGING" thread, cus all I ever see is people wanting something for nothing, with little interest on improving the gaming interface.
The voting system is a joke as people give low votes if they don't like the person with the idea.

That said, if people want to add/read or contribute to discussions then they can. Those that don't like certain threads are not forced to converse with them .................. Thus making this thread pointless!!!

1/10, i love the idea section.

 

For the most part...I like the games the way they are...sure...they could use a few tweaks here and there, a few limits/restrictions eased, a few things enforced a bit more......but how many new features do we really need? These game have changed drastically in just a few short years....I cant imagine what they would be like if every half baked idea with a solid rating got implemented....SCARY...LOL.


But its still good to have the idea section...not only can it be a source of humor....but ya never know.....the next big usable extravaganza of an idea might just be just around the corner.

LOL i may agree you with 90% ..there are now many ideas with high rating and over 3 months or 2 still not on the game !
just now before i come to the forum i was thinking of opening a new topic on the general section and will put all the ideas with high rating and their link !
so i am not the only one feeling that KANO not adding much from the idea section !

 

Bumping my vote up to a 10 on this one.

The ideas are already out there.... Shut 'er down for a while, and lets get some of them IN the game, instead of keeping crackerjack ideas in front.
