For all those wondering if Arena is worth it...

I went into arena as a lvl 704....i went in with only 28 un and i came out at level 937 and had gained a bunch of un from leveling which i did use some to continue to level while in arena. People seem to worry that their health or other things are not good enough for arena, the perks they provide even you out quite a bit...so i will just post my end stats from arena and then you can decide if it is worth it for you =)

I just did some math to see average exp/attack for you and came to 155/attack. One of the problems I have with arena is the exp doesn't seem to scale as much for the higher levels. I mean right now it cost me 528k exp to level and I get about 200ish exp average per attack. I don't really feel like paying 20 UN to buy 2 stamina refills to level so I just use up my stamina and am then a sitting duck for rest of arena.

 

yes but this was mainly geared towards lowers who are afraid to enter because of uppers. they seem to hold back because they think they wont be much of anything in arena. they dont realize that level and health mean less in arena that it does in regular play.

 

i have no problem paying 10 un for a stam refill in arena, at least i can use the stam to attack with unlike in the regular game, and the xp doesnt degrade after 5 attacks like the regular game, if i can actually get 5 attacks in before they are hospitalized or dead. Its hard to say what my average xp is in arena, it can fluctuate wildly to as little as 180 to as much as 400 and in the later rounds it is not uncommon to get 600 700 800 or even 900 (havent got the elusive 1000 xp payout for a fight ...yet)

but unless your in a catbird seat like tricia, success in arena comes in the form of stam refills, oh sure there are people that snipe, but in the end they are nothing but targets to shoot down.

im happy to hear of a level 700's success in arena, i think it is a great adventure that only happens every two weeks, but not everyone is going to have the same experience or get the same results

That was great that a low level had a good experience.

 

Is arena worth it?? Of course when your with the Elite 12/15 that are constantly in the Top 10 Arena every single time it comes out and basically gangs up and kills everyone off..

I beg to differ... If you have good stamina at a low level, You can make it if you play wisley. Mer de noms had good advice on her side, that would be her only advantage. (maybe some back up if she was in trouble)

But she was just as weak as anyone else in this position. just as likley to get her kills sniped, just as difficult for her to beat other players.

The first arena I really got into I entered at about level 1050 or so, and gained 131 levels never spending ANY favor points, and placed 44th.

Its not easy, but yes... any lower level with the right stamina CAN have the same results.

As far as the rest of the arena top 10, drag the waters, smashing your faction, there will be blood, ultraviolent, ssssss gas the jacks, if they are consistently in the top 10, then theres a reason for it and it has nothing to do with a gang.

There is no doubt a lower level can do quite well in an arena, does it help to have friends in high paces? duh! Is there something wrong with that? absolutely not....these are social networking games....friends are what its all about.


With that said, even without friends in high places a lower level can perform well but like with the game itself....ones build is of uber importance.....some accounts simply arent set up to perform well in the arena. Secondly....A lower level is always at a greater risk of someone just taking them out whether they're in Dstance or not....its just a matter of running into the wrong player at the wrong time.

A lower level without friends in high places needs to employ a completely different strategy.....they need to be waaaay more patient yet remain active, by active I dont mean out there attacking everything in sight. To best increase ones chance of success at a low level.....every available option need to be utilized.


On a side note....Im certainly not arguing the validity of the OPs statement.....but their stats in regards to win/loss record are awfully impressive for being such a low level if they didnt have a bit of help from some friends. More power to ya and continued success!

 

The Arena's not worth it. I played, spent money and used over 120 UN's, finishing in top 20 and out of pocket.
Sure it's worth it for a low level to power up the levels, but then, who needs an Arena to do that?

I would agree that its not worth it as far as FP/UN are concerned, but we do get to find out who the truly baddest mofos in the game are regardless of level as the arena is the one true test with no limits....and Im sure we all know by now that simply because someone is the highest level dont guarantee nothing. Stats alone are important...but bringing to bare everything one has available to themand overcoming the odds is where the true skills are evident...the arena allows for this .

Participation numbers always drop as is evident by season play and guild wars as well, nothing is ever as good as advertised and or some players just have expectations that exceed their skill set or they lack the fortitude it actually takes to go the distance. its not just a battle of UN/FP, stats and strategy....but a marathon as well. Another issue that may have caused a drop in participation numbers was the fight list which has now been fixed. To little to late? hope not.

 

As usual you are negative to the point of delusion....first of 12-15 people cannot be in the top 10 consistently....unless you can explain how this elite group you speak of can defy basic math. secondly i'm not part of any "elite" group i pulled those levels completely on my own and ANYONE can do it. Now if it is what i think it is you surely can apply to my "elite" group...but i don't think you will get in =).

 

all i did was save all my daily rewards and all of the boss rewards that i could...i went in with only 38 un, i did use a couple for refills while in arena but once i got to 600 stam it was all free leveling from there.

it doesnt matter what you say slave, you can't fix stupid and closed minded....anyone who isn't on top has to find a reason why they aren't. instead of putting in the work to put together a top notch team as you did, it is easier to cast them off as cheaters....
