[Other] reveal arena names

I think at the conclusion of the arena all the participants real game names should be revealed.

If i remember correctly ...when the arena was first being discussed there was many players who didnt like the anonymity thing....would this not be a good compromise? I personally was and still am for the anonymity thing DURING the arena as it allows for players to play without game rivals hunting them down, but after its all over it would be great to see whos who and possibly create more in-game rivals which is good for the game.

There has also been a lot of talk by some players about the search option and how it is really used, these players want us to believe that they dont use the search option in an effort to help their team....or what some might call "gangs". I think that revealing names at the end of the arena would help shed a lot of light on whos doing what during the arenas and stop a lot of this total nonsense going on up here in the forums.


For example...there is a player who just wont shut up about "gangs".....they say that teamwork (gangs)is below them and that they would never stoop that low. Yet I have personally witnessed this same player come under attack and then miraculously his armada members came out of nowhere and started attacking the player attacking him. This player would have you believe that he did not have his team mates/gang members use the search feature to come help them....lol. Thats why revealing names would be great.....so everyone that had this happen to them could actually see who it was and how it contradicts what they say here in the forums.


Personally I think it would be great to OUT these disingenuous players so that all us community members can see their true agenda and how they really are. This would go along way with clearing up alot of the confusion here in the forums for those poor souls that actually believe some of this guys BS. There is a lot of young and or impressionable players in the forums and the last thing we or Kano needs is to have them steered down the wrong path by this garbage


So vote to reveal the names after the arena is over, not only will we be able to see whos talking out their butts......it would just be interesting and fun

 

i always reveal at the end, so this wouldnt be a bad option, after its over why wouldnt it be ok to reveal?

 

What if players are using the same name in each arena? If you can find out who someone is at the end of arena, then they are gonna know who is who for the next one, should people keep the same name.

 

I thought about that as well. Personally I dont think it would be that big of a deal to come up with a new name each time. I also think that depending how u might have done in a prior arena it might not be a good idea to use the same name again. For example...Ive won the MSVC arena 3 times....using the same name would paint a target on my back. I doubt those who r using the same name each time are causing to much of a ruckus or they probably wouldnt be using the same name....lol.

 

Good idea, id really like to see this in the 4th or 5th arena. That would also allow people to see who killed them, which i would love to know who kills me lol. I rated a 10/10.

 

i also agree it would be great to have the real game id's revealed. i know for me i have always revealed mine and trust me i havent finished high in the arenas lol. i give this thread a 10

 

Nicknames:
Upon joining an arena you're asked to submit a nickname, this should be a different name from your regular player name. The arena is constructed to promote attacking and free for all fighting, pre-planned attacks and rivaliries from regular gameplay should be minimized by the use of nicknames. You are allowed to reveal your real game name and link if you choose in your profile view.

I could see the reasoning for somone wanting to keep the same arena name.

Truthfully, I wish you had to keep the same arena name. Creates a little bit of anticipation. You have to wait to find that same nemesis to get your revenge.

I have a spin off, idea for this. Maybe it could be a rule, that you have to reveal your identity, to see the others that have. Its not fair at all for one to be able to keep a secret, and still peek into anothers window.

only people who are ashamed of how they finish would object to this happening but i reveal mine and i do not finish that well and im not ashamed to say i really do try to do as well as possible so i really hope this happens

Basically in a nutshell
The reason names aren't auto-revealed is to cut down on in-game bullying.
The arena wasn't really meant to create new rivalries.

Maybe Kano will change their stance,but not likely.
Kano doesn't want the arena to promote bullying in-game.

I read it....didnt see where it said anything about bullying. The rivalry thing does make sense though....if your scared of a little battling/competition that is....but if thats the case then ones gotta wonder what your doing in the battle arena in the first place....lol


odd that u would all of sudden think that because kano does or says something that its the way it should be....i can think of dozens of times u disagreed with Kano on how things were done/implemented, the search option in the arena definitely comes to mind as Kano did add it....but u sure seem to be against that...lol Isnt that what these forums are all about.....discussing and suggesting new things? I guess with your new found outlook on things we can rest assured that u will never disagree with Kano again?

 

I like where your heading with the spin off idea , but the issue I see with it is that players that dont reveal would only need to ask whos who from a friend that did reveal, or even worse just have an alt account look...lol

I dont see why someone couldnt use the same name as before. I personally wouldnt want to but I have zero issues with anyone that did, it would just be a bit easier to find them if need be.

I agree with ya Larry....I think that most players that dont reveal there names are probably ashamed of their ranking. I also think its a good way to cover up the actions that some claim they dont do.

 

Yes i forgot just how many people cheat. its sad really. Do they not have any friends to play with? I didnt really consider asking your friends because well... who would put up with being asked who 100 different people are? lol. I guess some people do kiss ass pretty hard.

I would be okay with auto-reveal. but i also do feel the way that it is set up is balanced very well.

The problem with it ... the crazy folks... Im obsessed with my game. but i can still look around and see people who have taken it wayy too far... and well if they knew who took them down in arena. It could be real bad for that person.

 

here we go...even Para is in support of revealing arena names. Quoted from a recent post of his.

i have experienced when i attack 1 player and there was 5 players started to attack me so i went in defence mode and two players stop attacking me but other tree still attack non stop me for 20 min and they did lose 80% health and i lose 10% health so why attack some one and lose 80% ? and they died after that LOL.. only explain is that alts were set in place to fix this game !!

Not sure why so many want to know anyways.

All it would cause is major ingame bullying.
Eric is right about that(although search should go away)

And those that know my banned account know I don't agree with Kano just cause(granted I only agree bout keeping identity hidden,the search NEEDS to go)

 

I dunno about making it compulsory to reveal your identity at the end....maybe make it so an option appears when you're out whether to reveal or not, a more visible option as well as the one on your arena profile.
