I just want to clarify what constitutes fair play? I'll try to briefly explain my current situation. I'm in a Guild and one of them was being constantly attacked by a player, so they requested everyone to Axe Slap this person. I helped out (of course) because he and I were about the same level at the time, and this player responded by placing a bounty on me. I let it go... couple of days later, he bounties me again, naturally I retaliated. Since then it's gotten to be ridiculous. For example: He's put me on the bounty list 6 times in the last 2 days. I fight back and bounty trap, but it doesn't seem to deter him. Now, you might think this is whining, but I think this guy isn't playing the game straight and I'll explain why: He joined 1154 days ago, yet he's only level 84. And these are his stats: Battle Battles Won: 1,773 Battles Lost: 601 Battle Kills: 28 Death Count: 106 Survival Streak: 33 Victory Streak: 5 Counter Attacks: 19 Bounty Bounty Wins: 0 Bounty Losses: 23 Bounty Kills: 0 Bounties Placed: 199 Bounty Traps: 5 Max Bounty Collected: 0 Boss Boss Kills: 0 Bosses Helped: 0 Adventures Adventures Taken: 834 Adventures Assisted: 1 Challenges Challenges Complete: 0 Challenges Helped: 0 Axe Slaps Axe Slaps Dealt: 93 Axe Slaps Received: 641 Axe Slap Kills: 0 Axe Slap Deaths: 18 Hardest Axe Slap: 24 Achievements Chieftains Achievements: 69/603 Chieftain Earnings: 84,271,652 Gamer Points All-Time 45204 To me, it seems like he's just doing very little to progress, and building up his empire so that he's 1) Very expensive to bounty and 2) Has lots of gold to bounty other players. I'll be honest, I only joined 23 days ago and I'm only level 151 - so maybe I'm overreacting. But if he plays the game this way, doesn't it just mean he's kinda praying on other players who are just starting out? I'd appreciate your thoughts.
Welcome to VC. The number of attacks or bounties doesnt matter, there is a ton of diff type of players and its one of the things that make the games interesting. In this particular case u started it because u slapped him. Its a good thing to help out a guild or clan mate but u should always expect there will be consequences, but choose your battles wisely as u will find that some guild or clan members will get u in more trouble than most. With that said....u will also find some very aggressive player that seemingly come out of nowhere for no apparent reason....its just one of those things weve all had to deal with, just keep leveling and exact your revenge. As far as the peculiar numbers of the player in question, it sounds and looks a whole lot like an alt account which IS illegal. Copy his URL and send it to Kano support along with your suspicions. Chances are that nothing will happen quickly if ever but Kano does investigate all reports. Alt accounts are very difficult to prove and it often takes time and heaps of evidence...so if u expect alt usage REPORT IT! Good luck with your new found adversary and your game in general.
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the advice, and will definitely be more judicious in my use of axe slaps in the future. lol I'm fairly convinced this character is using this as an alt account (a higher level player, who's a friend of mine helped me out with this guy and was then put on the bounty list by what I reckon is his 'other' account - the low rank alt probably couldn't afford my friends bounty). I know that someone else has been having some problems with this particular player, and have reported their suspicions to Kano. I get that everyone has their own style of play, but I don't like this guy's methods. He fights player's who are of equal level (very briefly), and when they move beyond him (because he's doing nothing to level) he just bounties the hell out of 'em. And obviously his maniacal empire building means he's got plenty of gold to burn. I guess I've just run into one of those oddities, who has a totally 'unique' way of playing. So I reckon I'll just have to keep beating his ass the old fashioned way, and take the bounty hits. No dishonor in being killed by someone who's 3000 levels higher than me, right? lol Anyways, thanks again for the reply.
