Battle arena grrrrrr

I wont be joining the arena again, it started while i was at work and i was killed before i could get home to play.......just b.s. So i wont waste my time again. it should not start for each individual til they are online or something.......GRRRRRR NOT HAPPY AT ALL

 

As we have said previously, we will be rotating the start times so at some point timing should work for everyone.

I understand your frustration of not being around for the start, but there will be future ones on a rotating schedule so eventually there should be one that works for you.

What I don't understand, is that simply for joining you are awarded bonus XP, there is no cost to join and some make it pretty far without doing anything. Why do you think it was a waste of time to join for free XP?

 

Hey Janelovain. Sorry to hear that but unfortuantely they cannot allow players individually to join in when they fill like it. It would allow players to wait towards the end to get into the rankings boards. However they are rotating it to be able to accomodate all time zones. So eventually you will be able to play yourself. But if you think about it you get free experience for joining the arena and if your able to play you do get experience if you fight players along with battle drops. So be patient your time will come when you can join in on the fun. And who knows next time the arena if it's still not in your time zone yet still join for the free experience and you might be alive by the next time your able to log on play.

 

I do have a question.

In the battle arena, there's a player named "LOLOLO". He received over 14000 attacks (by the time I died, that was the number at least, it's probably a lot higher by now). 2 of them were wins, the rest were losses. His profile showed "Attacks: 0", and of course it had no kills. It certainly wasn't on defensive stance as I would deal it over 500,000 damage on a single hit. However, it's health never dropped below 560 millions. It would heal a million each 2 or 3 attacks it received.

What is the meaning of that? Cheating or simple arena abuse? That's certainly not playing the arena the way it should be played, and I while I don't mind if someone kills me, it bothers me to see someone who is immortal.

Remember if you die attacking a target the target gets the health

 

Thanks for the post ACE, this exposed a bug in the system regarding some players' setup with 0 strengths. The fix is in and now live. Good news is this fix should help clear out some of the inactive players people have been mentioning here on the boards.

Same here janelovain and I know of 4 others from my syndicate with the same issue. DOA! How about having an 'ENTER ARENA' button so as people can be home, awake or whatever before their killed off?

 

Volare if anyone was allowed to enter the arena at anytime then they could wait till the end when the final rankings occur. The time zones will shift eventually so everyone will get a chance to play at one point or another. Just have to be patient and wait till it's your time zone if your constantly getting killed off before you have a chance to participate in it.

im very happy with the battle arena...the second one went faster than the first...I placed 60th or something....my only suggestion would be to make(weight classes) for example level 750-850,851-950,etc...the pattern I see with the free for all is the highest level characters finish highest

 

Free for all is just that.Kano made that very clear this was how it would work out.A free for all.Not a "level bracket"
And you're not 100% accurate that high levels will always finish highest.Pimp is a great example of that in the 1st pirate clan arena.

 

Mac there was a posting on one of the threads somewhere that the developers were possibly going to look into this adding level requirements but that is when the arena is probably out of beta phase for good and no further issues are causing any problems.

 

There is a level requirement to join the arena.Why restrict this feature when it was suppose to be for those that want a free for all?

 

It's not a restriction lord. I think were kano was going with this is the possibility of allowing the lower level players who cannot join in have an arena also. Like i said it was something they were looking into the possibility. They never confirmed it nor did they post anything else except for that comment on it.

 

For real it is not fair for people to be able to buy favor points for stamina in the arena! I finally tried it and was dead in an hour. I was attacked by 1 person over 3000 times. I feel that if they want to buy favor points for stamina they should only be able to do it 1 time in 1 battle arena segment. This is why and how many won't enter. If this is corrected and posted then maybe others have a fair chance of partaking in the event, till then I will never enter!

We can't buy or refill health its earned by wins and kills. We are given a set limit due to what we have on our acct.. So ya stamina boosts are fine but when it comes down to it being able to add 3000 or more stamina with favor points is not. I have posted this in my syndicate group page and they all agree with me that it is not fair to buy your way to success on a strategy game. I will constantly say this its not fair for the players 1 bit whether you agree or not! Maybe we should be able to earn stamina in the arena not buy it!!!

This is a strategy game. For people to pay for their success in a battle arena is wrong. In a real life battle arena you are not given stamina. So for Kano to get rich of that is utter BS. I can understand a boost but not buying the stamina. Stamina should be earned just like health is. You cant buy health its earned!!!

 

Anyone can but stamina , so in that it is fair , if someone chooses not to then that is also their choice . Alot of players have a high stamina, and if they use their daily boosts and their stamina boost , it is all good, but the thing that is really needed is alot of health, so work on health , it will help in the arena and in the game itself. keep in mind if people use favor points for stamina , it costs them alot more FP then they could ever recoup by winning in the arena.

 

Your logic i can see but it is flawed just a bit.

1. If kano allowed the purchase of health boosts or using your coins to keep purchasing health the arena never would end. And neither would a midrange player be able to win the arena so for that logic its a little flawed. A couple arenas have had top players in the game win it but then it has also had mid range players win the arena also. Its about strategy like you said.

2. And as far as limiting purchases of stamina they will probably not do that either because it does give players the oppurtunity who do not have a lot of stamina to stay in the arena if they choose to purchase it. And just because you purchase another load of stamina does not mean your going to use it all before you die. There has been plenty of posts already with players upset because they purchased them and then someone killed them off right after they purchased. It can also go for the same logic of using your boosts players get upset because they used there boosts and did not get anywhere in the arena nor did they level much. Arena is what you make of it you can go in swinging or you can go in defensively. But the choice is yours either way if your not strategic about it you will not make it to the end regardless of level. Players are starting to gang up on ones with high health because they are almost certain that those are the high level players in the game knock them out then its a chance for anyone.
