[PC] PC arena or any arena for that matter and ranking and rewards

I feel players who do not participate in the arena's should not get a reward or a ranking.







I would like to hear what people think and get it voted on.I do not want people who do not participate in the arena after signing up to win any prize or receive any ranking, myself and quite a few others ( some of whom do not come to the forum ) are tired of people bragging that they got a reward for doing nothing while the rest of us participate , so

yes I wanted to word it in a more simpler way, not sure if I did lol wanted to put the question first and my thoughts second .

In short what I put in other thread was, it depends on the players intention. I signed up to play even though it was after my bedtime. I was dead when I woke 6 hours later and in 91st place (ty very much). I had every intention of playing when I got up this morning..

Should I lose the points I got because other had an unfair advantage on start time and killed me while I slept? I don't think I should.

Peeps who deliberately sigh up with no intention to play should not get points, but you'll have a hard job proving they were not going to play!!

Giving xp to join is a bad idea as it invites the people you want to see lose those very points.

I'll leave scoring at the moment and see what other comments appear.

 

Yes I see that side of course, I do know when it gets to a point in start times where i cannot play I will not enter, if I even enter anymore, but on the other hand those of us that did and used our precious stamina to participate, ( I knew I was not gonna come close to a ranking or a reward going in), it is still the , for me, the principal. we have people bragging about not participating for a variety of reasons and it just irks me, and I know it irks others, I feel, sure they can have any experience from being attacked, my issue is with a ranking and a reward .

 

I'm sure if the last Arena had started while I was around I would not have finished as high as I did.
I think those bragging are mocking the Arena and therefore changes need to be made to the game not the player.
The PC Arena was won before I woke up when it was marked as a 3 day event!
I have been in an Arena where I woke up still participating.
On that occasion it was an app where I had good skills.
Maybe if the game was made more difficult more people would have the chance to wake up and play.
Less isn't always more, so maybe attacks should do less damage and health should be doubled or even higher.

If it's supposed to be a 3 day event then the active players left over those days should read something like..

Day One.. 80% left. After 15 hours dormant players removed without reward.
Day Two... 50% left.Players with less than 100 attacks removed without reward.
Day Three.. All players with less than 500 attacks removed without rewards.
With 6 hours left, remaining players health reduced by 20% per hour. In the event of a draw, winner decided on stats.

 

in PC it ends in hours lol it does not last long enough, not enough players it seems, we look like a bigger group , prob cause of some alts lol, it is over in less than 12 hours

 

Its a valid point one's intentions but I do think the only way this can be resolved is if a player doesn't fight, whether they wanted to or not, they not be included in the final rewards if their final rank places them in the top 100.

 

I agree with Linda but i see your point also Alka. Should you get the final experience if you make it to the tier i believe they put at 100 or less get the experience and favor points and a certain percentage of cash no you should not if you did not attack a player. I do not believe it would be hard to tell who rode the list all the way to the bottom without attacking a single player and made it into those categories. It would just take a little dedication and time. And once players see this is happening then they might participate with hits. And do i believe 100 hits should be the min to get a reward. I also believe it should be higher then that. Within the first 10 mins or so i did over 1000 hits so did a lot of other players from looking at the feed and seeing there profile if you click. But yet somehow they did it again rode the list with no hits and won something out of the category. For my vote i will give it a 10. And i understand about time zones and not being able to play. But i would guess to say the majority of the players are on but not hitting anyone.

 

Apparently since this thread's rating took a nosedive there are a lot of players here who like the idea of joining the arena, not playing for whatever reason and then coasting in to a top 100 place finish and getting rewarded for it. I hope the devs take into account how ridiculous that obviously is and fix this matter regardless of how many of these "free riders" overwhelm this thread and give it a low rating.

 

Can the 4 individuals who obviously just decided to jump on this thread to lower the rating give the reasoning behind giving it such a low vote. Or is it again the ghost's of the forums or the bullies who do not want to see change in games voting with the cover up of not having to reveal who you are. Either way once the arena's are finalized and you get the beat down on yourselves consistently and wonder why no players spoke up remember how you voted low without commenting.

 

Well I didn't pay attention to when it started but I play hard for the 25 minutes I had. And the start time wasn't a bad time. Just did not think I would last long. And I was waiting for the count down, in the arena as soon as it was started, problem... most I tried to fight where dead. and I did not want to stay on the 3 I found. But if you don't fight in the arena why should one get a rating or reward? Not. I entered for the fun of it. Did not care if I lasted 3 minutes or 3 hours. A little lost on some of the way this arena works but will figure it out the more I play. went to the list and many just said I could not fight? did not say they were dead. May be once you are out that name should come off the list? Frustrating to try and fight some one and they are deader than the proverbial door nail. But I'll leave that to the dev to figure out. BTW I gave this thread a 9 rating. Hope to have more battle arenas soon. and not so long in between them. Maybe a thread with some help on how to battle in teh arena. As I be a baby whimsy pirate. With no sense ..

 

I rated this IDEA TEN STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No fighting, no rewards. End of discussion!

 

I've just rated this thread 5.
Purely on the grounds that people like myself didn't get the same chance as other to participate.
The Arena has to be open to all and give all a fair chance to play.
Only then should the question of taking xp away from people be disguised.

If you want people to divulge score or reason then introducing a system that only allows people to score if they post a comment might be an idea.

 

I do not care if they get xp , they should not be ranked or get a reward, IMO

Alka i agree 100 percent with you about if you decide to vote on idea threads you have to give a reason behind it to cast a vote. Were all adults and were entitled to our opinions on what we like and don't like. But it's becoming sad on a lot of idea's good or bad people are just lowering it with out even an explanation on why. I think that is something kano needs to look at.

 

About voting and required to post,Kendall says that won't happen.

 

I know because to many individuals would take it personal if they were to know who voted against them if they now who the person really is. Me if you want to vote against me its your choice. Just like it's my choice also but at least i will tell you why i rated it.

 

I partly agree I think if someone doesn't participate in the Arena, and still gets a reward they shouldn't receive it, those who have participated should get it In my opinion, by not participating I mean 0 attacks lol.
