is there like... a way to check if u made the item already?, except checking all items over and over again if u have 1 in ur inventory

which game and are you talking about crafting?

 

I don't use the workshop but i think the only place you can see them is in with the rest of your inventory.

Maybe to make it easier you could post in the ideas section to have "workshop weapons" added to the drop down "weapons" menu in inventory. That way they would all show grouped together.

 

Where do I find a wool hat? Is it a boss drop?

Never mind i figured it out looking at the recipies page its for zombie slayer. I am assuming your trying to craft the Soran Competitior. Let me ask one of my friends who is higher up in zombie slayer unless someone else responds before i can find your answer for you.
