@dark stratus, Ty 4 the reply.

"This is a sum of modified values".....this statement has me concerned, any chance we can get a little more in depth on exactly what this means....and how it may affect diff players of diff levels?

Im also a bit concerned that the amount health regeneration is dependent on amount of health of the player that is killed. seems to me that it would paint a target on the high health players back...which is usually the higher leveled player. Why wouldnt /couldnt health regeneration be the same across the board? A player with high health would be an obvious target being that they r they offer the largest health regeneration ...essentially they will be getting penalized for high health?

The whole percentage thing is bothering me because as one of the higher levels.....I no longer allocate my points the way I did while i was coming up through the ranks because things are completely different when everyone is in your rear-view mirror, and its a little late in the game to be changing ones build around when u need almost 300k to level. This coupled with the target on my back because of health and the fact that i will pay more to enter the arena.....has me thinking im not liking where this is heading.

We will modify what certain categories give. For example a player may have 10,000 skill points in attack. They might also have 2,000 clan members and when they go to battle they bring 1,000,000 points of attack. Well that 10,000 skill point placed in attack really means very little in comparison to the 1 million points of attack your clan is bringing to the battle. So we take the 10,000 skill points multiply it by a modifier lets say in this example 100. So you have 1,000,000 attack from your personal attack and 1,000,000 from your clan. Now your personal attack matters while before it didn't matter.

The amount of health you regenerate is based on two things, how much health you have as an individual and the amount of skill points your opponent has. You have to remember the high level players will be killing the low levels at a high rate so giving the same rate across the board would make it so high level players would be encouraged to kill the low level players. Its a fine line we have to cross and when we release the battle arena your feedback will help make it fair.

The high levels will get a full battle list and with that the potential at a lot of XP. You might not be assured victory but you will be able to take a lot people down with you. Having an alliance wouldn't hurt either. Remember as you kill everyone you will be gaining health.

I agree changing your build is not an option that is why we want to ensure all builds have advantages and disadvantages. So unless you are sticking every point in energy and stamina you will be well off no matter what you put it in you will just have to play differently.

That def helps clear up a few things....ty for the quick reply.

There is no doubt that it is a very "thin line" and making it fair for all is a daunting task to say the least. Actually.....getting players all on the same page as to what "fair" actually means will undoubtedly prove to be even more difficult. To me..."fair" means that no player regardless of level will either gain or lose any advantage the already have, that any advantage or disadvantage they have due to their own skill point allocation and level will remain proportionate in both regular play and arena play. Where as some players seem to think that "fair" means to level the playing field regardless of how hard someone else had to work to level.

  7. My questions were answered as well. It sounds very interesting so far. What I am intrigued with is that this feature could take more strategy than the normal clicking game! I think this idea is very interesting. I can't think of any other perks that would come into play as far as a person's build goes. I am impressed. I'm on the fence as far as it being anonymous. I can see both sides of that argument.

  8. So what

    So what Member

is there any chance we can have a look ....a test drive even if it kills us BEFOR IT GOES LIVE ?
am not been a bad sport about it ...id like to see whats involved ,,,,the whole randomness of a solid build is a bit unnerving ...i can change in the intruim and go massive on def as oppose to health .. it just seems a shame that we MABY / MIGHT benifit from our builds as oppsoe to 50 % chance its done us more harm than good ....if u get me

  9. So what

    So what Member

it would be better to be anonymous ,,,,every step of the way ... thou how u disguise the top players is beyond me ....

I am just going to come out and say what Polish has been beating around the bush about. What advantage, if any, does having 10,000 stamina bring you?

I can see the point of being anonymous when attacking a player but wouldn't it take the fun out of the feature if you had no clue as to who you were trying to take down or who was still live in the arena? I totally understand that bullying does happen and can really see the anonymous thing being a good idea but I am afraid that it could in essence make the arena feel "fake". I don't want this feature to feel like I'm hitting another NPC. I know for a fact that if it were anonymous more clans would take part in it but could that hurt the fun? Could there be a middle ground with the anonymous idea? I am still 50/50 on the arena being anonymous. I would love to hear some constructive feedback about this.

People would have the option of using their in game player name or choosing a fake name. This fake name would not change during that one instance of the battle arena. If you choose a fake name players could learn about you from fighting and tell friends to attack you. Some of the fun would be trying to figure out who certain people are and sharing information with friends /allies about the fake name.

When you complete the battle arena and the results get sent to everyone perhaps players have the option of revealing their true identity or not.

I will be using the name "Just tickled your feet" on the arena, just for reference :D

But really, will high stamina have any advantage on the arena?

  16. Ok cool, I totally see how this will be fun. I have another question, Will the arena allow everyone participating to see who is in the top positions during the battle?

  17. I just hope this rolls out with more care then the hired squad did. I won't be participating in it, though until all the bugs have been worked out. Unless there was a beta test, maybe.

Is the "percentage" based on our total skill points available individually? So even if I have very high attack or Defense in comparison to most....I may still be at a disadvantage in the "perk" department because I have extremely high stamina which takes 2 skill points per which would make it my highest percentage of skill point allocation? If this is the case....would a lower level who doesnt have nearly the need for stamina due to the amount of XP needed to level have a distinct advantage in the "perk" department? At the lower levels its very easy to create a "loop" which enables one to level essentially for free because of the XP required to level...so these player can afford to dump much more skill points into attack or defense in comparison to Stamina...which would def up there over all percentage of defense and attack.

It almost seems that certain attributes should be taken out of the percentage equation, energy because it has nothing to do with a battle and stam because of its skill point cost being double. Just a thought....I dont wanna get to carried away speculating until i get an answer to my questions.

Before all the haters jump in and say Im whining....Im just asking a question so I can better understand what to expect and prepare for it.
