Punch is based on the lower health stat of the puncher and punchee Say you have 20k health and your target has 10k then when you punch him it will give anywhere between 0.1-5% of the 10k health stat (10-500 damage) Say you have 20k health and your target has 40k then when you punch him it will give anywhere between 0.1-5% of the 20k health stat (20-1000 damage) So, only way to increase your punch power is to increase health but it wont deal anymore damage unless your target has more health than you do. Seems daft that your attack stat isnt factored in as well but its not.
Then there is the random element where you punch 1100 one day and 150 the next. I've punched faction members for laughs and there is no calculation that will get you even close to thinking what punch you will deliver..
Its .1% (point 1%) not 1% all the way up to 5% - thats the random element, the %! I posted this on the PC facebook discussion page ages ago (before it was shut down) and it was confirmed by Kano that i was correct.
Your right. However, as I stated, there is no way to calculate what your shot is going to be or even be close to being.
I think Kano are the only ones who find the random factor fun. Most players would probably say frustrating is a better way to describe it.
Indeed.Kano is the ONLY ones finding this amusing. It should be a straight 5% of the lower health stat.
Exchanging blows with a pesky gnat on my rival's list and putting him the hospital with a sliver of his health left, and thinking; "Yes! I can kill him with a slap/punch/whip!" then going to slap/punch/whip and getting; "You just axe slapped/punched in the face/pistol whipped XXXX for 1 damage." is hardly fun, Wonder Woman.
