and ofcourse our skill points stats (attack, defense, stamina, energy and health), either that or you reset our achievements so we can get those skill points again.. but im not sure wich one is more difficult..

Mulling it over here, I am curious, how many of you have voiced your displeasure with hi5/tagged? We can only do so much in talking to them. It can't hurt for you to voice your concerns with them directly.

I like this post, because I can actually comprehend it.

This is the best solution for hi5 players, maybe, but not for those of us on myspace and facebook.

1. I can live with this. I wouldn't mind having more rivals in my fight list.
2. I'm fine with this, too.
3. I would just assume your toons come over as is.
4. Same as #3. I refuse to believe that our toons are built that differently.

I don't have a solution to the leaderboards. A reset for hi5 players doesn't seem quite fair, nor does allowing a hi5 player to supplant someone already on the leaderboards on their respective networks.

Of course, I'm not sure I want so many emo kids joining us on facebook, anymore.

This is NOT Kano's fault. They're doing what they think is best in a bad situation. I don't know why hi5 is doing what they're doing, but they are and there's nothing anyone can do about it. Perhaps you can whine to the admin there instead. You know, to the people responsible for this debacle in the first place.

Here is a message that I pm'd you without a response, may as well post it here since it is applicable to everyone in this thread.

Just wanted to reach out to you to give you some insight from our perspective and to attempt to have a rationale discussion with you off the boards with a situation that would make you happy, if it is a 1:1 transfer and that is it then I guess the discussion will be pretty quick.

Hope that over the years of playing our games, you can agree that we have always done our best supporting the games and listening to the community as best we can being a indie developers. Bringing Mark aka "Deltan" on board this month was done to invest more into the community and to do a better job at listening and communicating with the players. The timing of hi5 deciding to remove all games from their network and to replace with Tag only games really sucks and is not the intro that we wanted Mark to have but as with life things can sometimes go unexpected.

The reason I have been off the boards is simple, we brought on a full time community manager so that developers could focus more on building better products and the community manager can focus on better understanding, listening and communicating with the users and feeding that information to the development team to act on.

When we first got the news, we were overly optimistic with what we could do and being Mark's first post I think there was some confusion on his part as well. After myself and some other developers looked at the data between the different networks and took a step back to think about this issue on a whole it did not make sense to us in how we could transfer what a player has earned 1:1 to a completely different competitive environment. One of the biggest parts to these games, as you can understand, are the rivals that you are faced against, and that is the biggest variable that we cannot account for from network to network. Maybe if we had more time we could have some different options, but what we are offering is in line with what other competitors, far bigger than Kano/Apps has done and we attempting to do it under a tighter timeline.

It is also safe to say that I expect the majority of developers on hi5 will most likely not be doing any transfer of any kind, as is the behavior I have seen from some other competitors that pulled their games from hi5 on their own timeline in the past.

The packages that we plan to offer can be added to existing characters or used to kickstart a new one.

Compensating for time is by far the most difficult thing to without doing a 1:1 transfer, having your input on how we can best compensate for time without doing a 1:1 transfer and to not over / under compensate for the fact that what was earned was under a completely different set of rivals than what players are being transferred to.

I have always found you to be reasonable, it is sad to see a long time player as upset as you are and calling us out as not caring, etc, if we didn't care we wouldn't be making a post and we wouldn't be doing anything like I bet the majority of hi5 developers are doing.

All that being said, hope you can take the time to dial back the anger and respond with some points that you think would be fair taking into consideration how different the rivals are from network to network.

Is there no way to move us to another network like goggle+? I understand your on a time limit here but so many of us have already played on FB and moved to hi5 because we don't want to deal with their crap.

The faction I'm in have all started on MS because we want to keep playing ZS together, but theres not a lot of incentive to try and build up on there when all we hear about is how it's a dying network.

 

I will leave the private message sent to Atheistic in the post above, but will not expect a reasonable response from Atheistic as he is no longer a member of the forum. Unfortunately he made it very apparent that he was not interested in having a rationale discussion but was more interested in calling us out as a company that doesn't care, etc.

 

Google+ would require a fair amount of development for our existing games and we have not yet investigated that effort, let alone the application process to get a game on G+. Unfortunately we would not be able to accomplish that within the timeframe that hi5 has set for us.

Some people just need to loosen up and act a bit more professional especially when they are/was moderators. Sure this maybe a tough time but its only a game... hi5 is not holding your granny or your dog hostage they are just screwing you AND kano in the ass.

And i don't see how anyone can argue that KANO are not trying after that essay of an inbox to a total idiot who has already removed himself from the forums, i'm just glad they have such an amazing attention span to read through this bs ranting and then manage to reply passionately too as i would of most probably deleted the entire ^5 game and be done with it.

I might be more inclined to take Kano's points offer and build up again if i had a spiffy looking sig picture like Kendall...

 

In my country, we have laws, and taking money from customers for services apparently not properly assured to be continued by some contract or agreement, and the next day stop the services without refunds, is stupid and against the law, simply a case of FRAUD. It would not have to be discussed on forums like here, but in COURT! and probably in the newspaper. I don't know the legal situation in India or America or wherever this stuff here may come from, I don't need to care, and I don't care enough for these games, but if I would, like I would if I was one of the game addicted credit card players who spent 10.000s of Dollars for these games, I surely would not hesitate an instant to sue them, by leaving it up to the lawyer whether hi5 or Kano or both.

All I meant to say is that for me personally, the games don't need to be continued from hi5 on fb as I don't use fb, and if I may decide for the future to start some similar new games online, then only on one of the several reliable German games portals and I'm sorry even tho it may not be their fault Kano's company image has been damaged by discontinuing games on hi5, because as seen on hi5 the same could happen on fb the next day and people should think twice if to spend money for that.

 

i personally didn't even get past the first sentence but I can already tell you don't know the usual TOS one liner. "X game may become subject to change at any time" and just because you buy points or signed up to a game does not make you own that character or your facebook/hi5/myspace they are simply lending you a slot in there database and they can take that space away from you or change it when they want and how they want as long as it is stated in the TOS which it clearly is so please stop posting mumble about court and other bs its just not going to do anything or anyone any good other than make yourself look a bit dumb and is getting rather boring to the people that do actually want this crap resolved...

 

I can use this forum same as you I use it to speak for me, and again I say on purpose that for me it does NOT need to be continued on fb. I don't care if that helps or not to resolve your "crap" and I don't care if it is getting bored for any other players as I do not care at all for them. And thank you for letting me know how much more stupid than I ever thought they could be to pay money for this stuff! LOL

 

I never said you couldn't, all I am doing is stating my opinion and saying that instead of talking about suing and law maybe you should be posting ideas that the devs have not thought of and that is best for all parties involved and not just yourself and then just maybe a better and more perfect solution can be found.

After all, us users most probably know a lot more about the game (front end) than every single dev as we interact and see stats of other players daily and not just on a spreadsheet so use that once useless lcn knowledge for the greater good!

As you say they KNOWINGLY pay a fortune legally signing a fraud, just to have some hot air ventilated through their PCs for a while, why are they moaning now?? They get what they deserve. Of course hereby I post my support to the idea of taking them to fb but with some low stats to milk them again and again, more and more LMAO don't get me wrong devs I value your work and it must be payed - why should you value your customers money they worked for if they accept to pay for nothing in the end anyway LOL

 

If stats are a big deal then reset them to zero, but we keep our weapons and stuff

hahahaha. at lvl 1, to have, say 500.000 points of attack ? that would imbalance the game at an even higher degree.

KENDALL, you still haven't answered the most burning question : how much and how will it be calculated, the FP packages?
Answer this, and MAYBE, there will be more than 50 players who will play on Facebook.

 

I mean keep level too and by stats i meant kills, fights and all that crap
