death by bounty trap while on bounty

    I don't know what network you play on but on Hi5 ZS there's more then 5-10 booby traps blown while listed, in one day. Pretty sure FB ZS would see double that.

    There's no way you should get free hitlist kills. The lottery would be for the money that no one gets when someone who is listed dies on a booby trap.

    i play myspace MW, but so whats the point in having a lottery if u dont get the stats the lottery was generated from? the lister is not getting the HL kill so why throw the HL kills away? If u lottery the money u should lottery the reason the money came into existence in the first place and lottery the kills also
     
  4. I think this has already been implemented.

    I just ate a booby trying to hitlist the guy that listed me, on Hi5.

    I stayed up on the list.

    I was then killed off the list.

    Now i'm sure that's not the way things normally go on.

    Looks like certain people will have to change or at least adjust their suicidal tendencies.

    When on the list UR DEAD ~! No getting around that~! So If the person "Listed" commits suicide IMO the Lister Should get their $ back because the listed person has taken the cowards way out~!!! and if it were RL (LOL) the bounty would never have been paid out~!!!
    That does not allow anyone to get the $ that the lister took the time to earn and risk for the bounty.There should be no Benefit for the target to in effect 'steal' the bounty from the Lister~!!

    Personally...I think that someone committing suicide while on bounty is perfectly legitimate strategy for a few of reasons.

    1. As in life.....one could actually commit suicide if they learned a price at been put on their head.

    2. There is very few players that can actually pull off committing suicide while on bounty and if they can....they have obviously allocated their earned skill points in such a way to be able to accomplish this under the rules that were in play at the time, way to many times have the rules of play changed after players have built their accounts with specific actions/rules/goals in mind only to have their accounts severely handicapped by changing things mid stream. Currently active gaming actions should only be changed if it is somehow adversely affecting a large majority of players. If a change is made...then the players whos game is greatly adversely affected by said rule change mid stream should be afforded some type of compensation in the form of skill point reallocation. The fact that someone can kill themselves while on bounty does not adversely affect the majority of players...in fact it been long standing strategy under long standing rules....so each and every one of us has had ample opportunity to build/change their account to be able to do so if they had wanted to.

    3. Most players know that it is a real possibility that they might lose their money....maybe they should think twice about listing someone then. It may actually help deter some of the more senseless unprovoked bounties that are already to common.

    4. Players on bounty r going to die regardless but the mere fact that they r on bounty does not mean they are up there for good reason...players post random or malicious bounties all the time on players who have done nothing wrong at all...why "shouldnt the "listee" have some type of way to "stick it" to the" lister".

    5. You spend the gold to insure said player dies...well he died... regardless of who killed him or how they died....u or no other player that didnt kill them should b entitled to that gold...it was a risk....and ya lost

    In the End......its totally legitimate play and its a great way to "stick it" to a rival whos just being a pest or has way more gold than you. Incomes have become huge and bounties really dont have much affect as a player just hits the heal button..making bounties almost pointless other than gold transfers and leader board stats...so its actually pretty cool that there is a lil risk involved to spice things up a bit.

    If anything needs to be changed in regards to this subject....I would argue that the bounty pricing system should be more in line with the "counter" pricing system, a players base bounty should still depend on their income but either decrease or increase depending on the the number of attacks the involved players have on one another. Maybe then players would have either more or less incentive to bounty dependent on their own actions.

    Another idea if a players base bounty only increased for the player that actually bountied them thus leaving them affordable to the next player who they annoy. For example...if someone annoys me enough that I bounty them 10 Times.... In many cases their bounty will be so large that it basically gives them a free pass to wreak havoc on other players for 24 hrs that cant possibly afford their bounty. Maybe this way players who r out there mixing it up will be the ones getting bountid more rather than the innocents who get bountied merely because they have a lower bounty .

    I agree with Polish to. I don't understand why this has only now become such a big problem? Maybe because more people are at a level where they have time to blow a booby trap? I would rather see someone I list blow a bobby then have them let another enemy kill them.
