Boss Max Damage Limit not working

Discussion in 'Bugs/Issues' started by confusionanddelay, Jun 4, 2011.

  1. Someone in my clan set a limit on a boss battle but it doesn't seem to be working as several people have gone over the set limit.

  2. No, they just do too much damage to be controlled by the limit. Players cannot attack after reaching the limit, but can still do however many hundreds of thousands of damage in the last attack before reaching the limit.

No. The limiter is not working.

Today I had a level 1500 player hit my Freyja boss 4 times, doing 231952 damage. Yet the limit was set at 53000. There is no way he could have accomplished that damage unless the limiter was not working.

he was not the only player that happened to. You can see for yourself:

  4. For every boss that I have joined the limits do work. The limiter doesnt halt damage at the present amount, it prevents further attacks once a player has reached that amount On a vast number of bosses you can set a limit MUCH lower than many players do in one single wimpy hit however the boss takes the normal amount of damage for that player for the type of hit done. What probably happened on yours is someone did ONE 20 stamina power attack (this counts as 4 hits on the counter.) and did all that damage in a single click. It is possible, my normative damage for a 20 stam hit ranges from 1,200,000 to 1,500,000, so the figures you are describing are not unrealistic.

example: Player Jillian sets a damage cap at 10,000

Player tyndall hits the boss 3201147 times doing 10,001 damage and from then on is prevented from attacking after the last hit that brings total damage above 10,000

Player Das does one power attack and does 245,000 damage now he is prevented from attacking further because that one hit exceeded the limit.

Indeed. I can EASILY do that much damage in a 20-Stamina hit.

thanks Talking towel. Now I can see the players stupid enough to hit a level one boss with a 20 stamina attack.

Why do you put a damage limit on a level 1 boss anyway? Shouldn't you take care of it all by yourself? You really need help with a lvl 1 boss?

And if you feel you must set a limit, how about you don't set it so low? I mean seriously, 53k - what's up with that?!?

  13. I'm getting a bit irritated with seeing posts about this.

Again, if you're so upset that somebody might go over a certain limit.... ONLY GIVE THE LINK TO THOSE WHO WILL STOP AT THE LIMIT YOU SET!!!

Otherwise, that's the price you pay for their helping you with your boss.

For the second time. When I set an unlock limit (Minimum damage possible) on one boss, I believe the number was in the 350k range. Our own Towlie managed to do a nice 1.5Mil damage to the boss.... Who here thinks Towlie heard any complaints about this from me? He didn't hear a peep except in the feed I said "LOL Even limiters can't hold back certain Eddiebots" I laughed, and was proud of my friend's accomplishment.... Or I should say, what I perceived as an accomplishment.

I use limits to let low levels get there damage done in boss fights. Why are you using them? Are you wanting to see what all power ups a level 1 boss has?
