War Event Duration Discussion

    I find that would be a bad idea especially for the time it would take to get the achievements. The kill one already takes over 4 years at 20 kills per war for those entire 4+ years. If war gets cut in half that would double the time required to 8 years. That is an unrealistic time required.

    Then maybe the achievements need to be adjusted. Just saying gets very tiring having war seem like it never stops.

    Agree totally Kimbella.. Seems like a repetitive cycle.. Not sure where 5 days is coming from 96hrs and all that..2nd job syndrome springs to mind..Would like to see some kind of randomized team event where you end up having to work with peeps you don't know based on a banding system of some kind or even better users you don't get on with!

  8. Unless the relationship between initial holding of tokens and set token roof gets an adjustment, I am dead against shortening the war. The roof needs adjustment as it is today, shortening the war will aggravate the problem. Fix what needs fixing before you try to fix what does not.

    I guess I'm missing something then. The concern has been noted, and as mentioned we are more just taking the temperature on War duration in this thread. It's something we can look at, but not something we'd be giving a firm answer on right now.

    I think Friday until Sunday is perfect. It is hard for working people to get in on the end of the war early on Tuesday afternoons.

    if start Friday, end Tuesday. total time 96 hours. is consider as 5 days.. that mean it was count as..
    1.Friday - [24hr] - 2.Saturday - [24hr] - 3.Sunday - [24hr] - 4.Monday - [24hr] - 5.Tuesday.
    total days detect = 5
    total hours = 96 hours

    which mean the new suggestion of 3 days is
    1.Friday - [24hr] - 2.Saturday - [24hr] - 3.Sunday.
    total days detect = 3
    total hours = 48 hours

    Disagree!

    I would love to see the war dates modified to be shortened . They last to long and take up to much time !

    you are counting the full day, the war starts halfway through it.

    10am friday-10am saturday = 24 hours
    10am saturday-10am sunday =24 hours
    total = 48 hours.

    War starts halfway through the day and ends halfway through the day.

    Yes you are missing staying in the huge part of the world outside North/South America :)

    Timezone issues make us loose out on a lot of wp.
    Simple math for a European player with the starttime at 1am friday night. IF they are up next morning at 7 (and we are here referring to saturday morning) they will have lost out on 33 tokens meaning 16,5 refills for a sync or avg = 27k wp , BUT that is if they get up early next morning. General tendency is that the average player gets on at around 8:30 meaning 33 refills or 55k wp lost before it even have started.
    Currently it takes 13,5 hours to get from 0 to max tokens, meaning players have to log in twice a day, if you then increase the regen speed of tokens but not the cap, you end up requiring players to join in even more, which for many is problematic. Especially if it gets lower than 110 second pr tokens, since then players have to login during work, and if you are halfing the playing time, that would meaning doubling the speed, meaning average would be around 81 seconds pr token, meaning full 300 tokens in 6 hours and 45 minutes = players have to login 4 times, and not sleep very long => problem

    Well it doesn't help that one, maybe two of the syndicates involved have little alt accounts making up the really weak syndicates for some easy sniping kills.

    would love to see the start times changed, it usually happens in the early hours of the morning in Europe and i always miss the start and the end as i do need some sleep. i love the length of the wars and have played them from when they first began. the syns who win are not always the ones who spend all day playing and use their credit cards, they just work really well as teams and have clear communication as to which targets and when. most of the winning syns never bother with the lowest syns as their reward is too low to really bother with, you get more points and bigger kill xp from the larger higher level syns. :p

    would the amount of tokens to start the war be increased from 200 since losing 3 days off the event takes away from the total tokens we normally get for the war and would the time be less to get a token. the refills I see have been mentioned and will be increased. I know this isn't the exact topic but since were talking about the war could they change when the event takes place.We just finished up raids so what Favor points we did have went into raids there is no time between raids and syndicate wars to build up Favor points and increasing the number of refills per day would make it so some of use had to make a choice between using our Favor points on Raids or syndicate wars. My choice would always be Raids

    He's right, you just read it the wrong way :)
    His result is the same: 3 days, 48 hours.
     
  20. Why not increase the number of divisions to 7, this would bring 12 more teams into prize ranges. Personally i think changing duration would be a disaster for the only real team event the game has.
