Hi everyone, Players who previously had their chat privileges removed should notice a difference in their chat window - Job, Faction, and Group chat are now available! The ability to play your game will no longer be complicated by an inability to post your raids, recruitment, or just communicate with your Faction. World Chat has also been removed from view for banned players. [edit] We're going to alter the World Chat tab so it's visible even when players are suspended, however you aren't able to interact, as it was before. The other changes will stay. Keep your eyes peeled for another update in the next week where we'll be posting a more thorough chat guide for players to help reduce the number of bans that go out. Congratulations on catering to players who violate t.o.s. and are rude and/or disruptive in world chat. Any consideration about making a mandatory heal to post in world chat? It is not necessary to advance gameplay to participate in chat, so it would not hinder anyones -gameplay. Making it auto-heal to post would simply limit world chat to only those who are ACTIVELY playing the game, not just trolling.
The game would be more fun if the trolls had to actually defend themselves every time they used the world chat to get everybody's attention. Please make it so only players who are not dead/in hospital can talk.
It's something that has been suggested before in a couple of different ways and we have been considering it. Rather than it being a dead = muted in WC I'd prefer to do something like when you comment in WC you're healed for 10% of your overall health. Nothing has been decided on and I can't make guarantees that it's something we will add, just that there has been interest in this idea lately.
If players had to be healed to talk in WC there would be less drama, cause the dead ppl are the ones that no better than to come into WC healed
Me and another my friend having permanent bans in world chat now its gone for us and we cant read or open this.Not because its a big lost but dont see you mention something However thanks you very much for returning my jobs and groups privileges this is what I wanted!
I see that you have removed the ability to see WC for those players that are banned? Some people have been baited into getting these privies removed and I don't think it is fair to ban them from actually getting to see WC. WC fuels the game whether we like it or not. What good would it serve anyone if you can't even fight an opponent that has found a way to get past being banned and talking smack in WC? Gameplay will decrease if you ban your core members from seeing what is being said. Just my thoughts.
I also do not see the point in it to be removed our WC -ok we are banned and we cant post there but why do not read?
I like this concept as well SparkleMotion it would allow 1 post before actually being able to be attacked to say "good night" etc., and making the trolls naturally heal if that's all they are doing.
let the dead talk. Constant bounties can be used to mute players. That would not be fair and also make the games uneven. I really do not use world chat. I read it at times and love the smack talk.

Question, so if someone gets a temporary ban they will NOT be able to see WC? Blocking being able to read WC to any player is so wrong, WC is what makes the game what it is. Not just for game play like links being posted for people to punch, links for bosses and raids.......but the soap opera that goes on in WC is amusing and free entertainment. Also the social side of just communicating like "adults" lol Being able to read WC should be available for ALL..banned or not banned, the only thing I would love to see is a way to block people from posting their add me links. ps...i really do think you's are harsh on bans and some get punished for silly reasons....maybe a rated R world chat is needed
I feel no sympathy for wc banned players. I have no problem staying level headed and not crossing the line as do most other players. Smack talk is something else, and whats better than smack talk except backing that talk up? Adding even a 10% health would help greatly. Bounties will raise as usual so eventually it will become rediculously high, a part of gameplay I find increasingly awesome. Bounties growing fuels the hitlist. If you can't controll yourself and continue to cross lines of decency and common courtesy, then as a PENALTY or PUNISHMENT you shouldn't be able to watch wc. Don't violate the terms and there wont be a problem.
I really dont think that anyone, barring a few, should be suspended from chat indefinitely. A certain few that are malicious towards other players hurling insults truly meant to hurt the feelings of other's are exceptions. But people joking around may deserve a suspension, but not a perm ban. warnings are good, but some people just like to mess with others. Not hurting anyone's feelings, just talking shit. These people should all have their chat reinstated. Being able to converse in WC boosts the morale of a lot of players. Think bout it kano. Start pardoning people...They will respect you for it. That's just my personal opinion on it. For the record: I've never been banned from chat at any point.
I agree with those who noted that many are banned from WC for either silly reasons, or lack of clarity about what is allowed (which should be vastly less restrictive than it is currently--the R rated chat idea sounds reasonable) until after the fact. There are very few who are truly nasty and malicious on WC....the rest are naughty, but we like that
I don't see the point in not allowing banned players to see chat. Aren't there more useful issues Kano could be working to resolve? People who are banned are going to get a screenshot of it anyways. Really seems like a waste of time for the devs to implement it in the first place only to change their minds. You guys are making a $hit ton of cash. It could be used so much better The cute little alt accounts that come into world chat that are only a few hours old yet know the history of certain players is pretty old. There needs to be a time limit on them so they will stfu and actually play instead of just creating accounts to talk $hit
New Years 2017 why not commute the banned world chat for all members for 2017 for one last time.. bring them all back for one last time.. this will actually bring back the morale in the game to everybody.... just one time that's it! If they screw up automatic banned lifetime again.. honestly the smack talk is what keeps the game going..
