Player Bans March 7 - March 13

As a reminder, the following numbers are permanently frozen accounts, and don't count temporary freezes.

The majority of permanently frozen accounts are frozen for being a shared or alternate account. This is something we actively investigate, and we appreciate players reporting suspicious accounts to us.

If you have any questions or comments about a frozen account, please direct them through Support as the Forums are not the place to discuss account freezes, because of the sensitive account information involved.

We've been getting a lot of reports from players recently who have been really frustrated by the negative nature of Chat. After a lot of discussion here in Support, we've decided that there will be some changes to how we handle our World Chat Moderation.

Ideally we want to take inappropriate and mean banter out, but leave the fun rivalrous banter in. Comments that involve outside of the game aspects, like calling someone pizza face for example or telling someone their wife is employed in the oldest profession. It's totally okay to be making jokes and keeping up banter, but if someone is just trying to hurt another player they'll probably end up chat suspended. There is so much that can be done aggressively in the game, we shouldn't have to reach outside of it.

If we find that someone's behaviour is purposefully disruptive, inappropriate, or something that we'd consider harassment...like constantly telling someone they're useless, we're going to levy a chat suspension. Because of these changes, you're probably going to notice more Chat suspensions being doled out as we work out the kinks of our new Chat policies. We're also hoping that our Admin will have more of a presence in World Chat!

Please remember that we are always open to feedback, so if our new system doesn't seem to be working we'll pull back and reevaluate the situation. Nothing is set in stone! If you have any questions or comments over the next little while in regards to the Chat moderation changes, leave a comment and let us know.

So basically we are back in preschool again telling children what they can and can't say. Or the ones who line the pockets can say crap to anyone but when others come right back at them they get the ban. Because this is how a lot of people are going to see this new feature your adding with chat suspension.

 

Just take the damn chat away, and stop coddling the babies the ones crying that their game links are posted and they are called raid killers, Kano won't do anything serious enough to deal with them so we, I , many deal with them the only way we can, we out them , They are useless in the game when they do things like kill raids or don't heal for instance, So if that is what you have in mind, it isn't gonna stop people from killing them in the game, so I guess some fool calling everyone worms is ok but pointing out that the guy uses a female avatar and you point that out that is not okay, WE are adults here, you made a game that makes people fight in the game and outside of the game, friendships broken daily, leave us alone stop babysitting and work on the ones who cheat. I FB ban, pffft , you have my comment

 

Just Ban WC for everyone and save your energies for the cheats, focus on them. and we will all be happier.

I heard yesterday that some accounts were banned on Armor/Kong; but the #s aren't reflected in today's report.
I've seen pirates banned from the world chat for not saying much of anything. (Rarely do I post there myself, although I do read it regularly/daily.)

 

Highest bans out of anyone in pirate clan me. And i am proud of every ban. And i take it like a champ and i come back swinging.

 

I also noticed some accounts that I had just added last week that are now "(This Account Is No Longer Avail)", I expected it to reflect here in the count too, but then i don't keep perfect records, maybe they were gone last week or before. or maybe "(This Account Is No Longer Avail)" means something else, i dont know.

 

In other news, Happy Two Year Anniversary Kano on Kong, AmIRight?

 

Only one account permanently frozen, nice! Seems like people play fair

 

Guess since this is the last one, we aren't going to get these anymore?
And by the way... Kano's Celebratory Limited Item... I would have thought you would have given this out, rather than make people who have supported your games since the beginning purchase them. Oh... and why are the stats on items, like this Flag, so lopsided anymore. Take a good look at your items - raids, boss drops, adventure drops, DJ items, etc. and so much of these items have lopsided stats.

 

I hope that Kano is just taking the Summer off; I miss my weekly guaranteed laugh!

 

I have to wonder myself what has become of our weekly TGIF.
