Boss Fight and attack/defense formula Question

Okay - I've been playing now for just about 2 months and have, probably, a couple of dumb questions.
1 = Power attacks = granted, these are supposed to hit harder than 5 single attacks, resulting in greater drops, coins, etc., but what about this unlocking of the next power attack? Does all it do is increase the strength of your power attack for that boss fight only? I can't find any documentation on this unlocking of the next power attack.
2 = Where can I find documentation that tells me what the formula is for determining who wins in a battle? Example, why is it if I attack or a lower level player attacks me with the same number of chieftains, do I lose when I have more stronger warriors and weapons yet it won't take all of them? Granted, in almost all instances, their attack strength is greater than my defense strength and I don't see their number, just a percentage so I can easily calculate what their attack strength is, but I've noticed when attacking the same person, it can change from one attack to the next... huh? how does that work?
3 = What truly is the best ratio for applying your skill points? Do I consider my warriors and weapons when making this determination?
4 = On weapons and warriors, is it best to just keep large quantities of my highest hitters and get rid of all of my lower hitters and weapons? I've seen some players do this but I haven't done this yet because I'm just not sure if this will increase the amount of those types of warriors/weapons will be used in the battle.
5 = On empire, the price increases as we purchase. I haven't tried this yet but is it more costly to increase by one at a time or do you actually save coins in the long run by purchasing 5 or 10 at a time. Also, will the increase be the same after doing 10 single purchases as it will be for one single purchase of 10? Also, why is it I can have 80 of a smaller profit piece of property yet the cost ratio to profit is so much greater when I only have, say 20, of a higher profit ratio item. You would think the ratio would be the same for owning 20 of one thing in comparison to another of 20, but it's not.
    Thanks!

  2. 1=power hits DONT result in more drops.misconception there.they hit harder than 5 single hits and pay out more exp and coin.unless you and alot of your clan are extremely weak players its not worth unlocking all the power attacks as the more that join the battle the less exp payout.

2=the game varies the wins/losses within believe it or not more than 20%(unless thats a bug going on)however a seriously weak player will never beat a seriously strong player. 10 warriors and 5 weapons per 1 chieftain.i agree the randomness is annoying a bit(if it were within 5% or so id have no problem but over 20%?come on now)

3=for the life of you dont forget stamina as level 1850 exp needed to level will suddenly double.then level 2500 it increases again.if your low on stamina your screwed.far as allocating your points though it just depends on your style.if your a boss player, health stam and attack but mostly health.if your a player vs player player then attack stam defense health.if your a adven player well energy.stamina though will be needed.

4=if your income can support it,the best warriors and weapons is always a good idea.the weaker items you should only keep the bare minimum if theyre needed for a adven.but once the adven is gone rid them if they have upkeep cost.you can always get them back if you need em.

5=always get empire in 10s.always always always.the higher up in level you get the more expensive the empire gets.just the way its designed.

  3. That pretty much covers it.

The only thing I would have to add, concerning weapons is that sometimes it may be beneficial not to max out on the best weapons/warriors. During the earlier stages of the game new weapons become available extremely fast so you might find yourself wasting money. Also if you are winning your fights don't overequip, doing so lowers your bounty cost and the amount of XP earned in fights is higher when the battle is won by a slimmer margin. When the Surtyr fire sword and Baldr protege become available go ahead and max out on them. Buying mass amounts of legendary warriors is a total waste of money.

to respond to number 2 there is a factor at the top of the list called "critical hit" or something like that and its random sometimes in your favor and sometimes in your enemies favor so people who are evenly matched are going to have varied results

in response to number 3 , I've heard it said in most games of this type to have at least 2 times your level in attack and defense, i myself have ignored defense to focus on attack and health(for boss killing) because I only have about 150 clan members(most of which were purchased with the free favor points) I see no way I'm going to find 1000 facebook friends who all play this game and yet there are tons of people who have over 400 and no amount of defense skill is going to help me against that

in response to 5, I would make empire purchases in multiples of 10 only and try to to keep equal quantities across the board.

I worked on getting 50 of each then 100 of each and now I'm trying to have 200 of each

    Stam Suggestion

I suggest to get 1500 Stamina.
First go for 300, then 600, then 900, then 1500. It will take absurd amounts of time but you can get there. I got 1500 Stam on VC (myspace). Took me the better part of forever, but it was worth it.
