That sounds ok. I think that the tiers, though not perfect, will be grown into as they are so many revisit these in a couple of months.
hi All, So next raid will be coming out soon. Before it does; could the common drops stats be re-looked at. eg, Unintelligent Files 159 Attack 123 Defense however a moon base boss drop, which will become more and more common over time has following stats; Spaceghost Armor 117 Attack 93 Defense this is prior to crafting, i wouldnt know the stats for other crafted items on Moon, but the point is that the stat deference is negligible and i am sure some of the craft item are closer or exceed the Raid common drop stats. I would think that just as there is a constant "upping" of stats for bought items and drops items so the raid drops should be increased too. I still think raids are WAY TOO REGULAR!!!!! once a month is just too often; once every 3 months or quarterly would be more feasible. Thank you though for the new tier structure. this should improve participation. On an unrelated note, when do we get new character upgrades ;-)
i agree the raids is really screwing up the game, its became a spending game and that has took the fun out of it.
It's funny, my perspective is 180 from yours. Two points 1) Kano is running a business. Although this game can be played for free, without players that are willing to spend, it would soon be shut down. I have absolutely nothing against people that spend money on this game and am glad they enjoy and are willing to support it. It's good that Kano has come up with something that people are willing to spend money on in my opinion and I say kudos to Kano for giving these players another way to enjoy the game and their money. 2) I see raids as an event that enables free players to get their hands on some really good gear that they normally couldn't get unless they were willing to use their credit cards. I think this can actually have a balancing effect when a free player ends up fighting a light to moderate spender. The superior items I got from my first raids are in my load out and better than any sale item I've seen available. Is it better than the limited gear? No but, it certainly nice to be able to arm myself and my mob with some really powerful items without having to spend a dime.
I like raids, are good help for all players, true that especially for low levels if we consider the raport between Xp/attack versus advancing to next level
I really don't understand the issue with lower levels being able to move up quickly in the game. From what I can see, more new players are needed desperately so, anything that will help bring them in and keep them playing is a good thing. Also bringing them into the older players fight range more quickly should be a positive thing all things considered. I understand older players want to level up too. I have no problem at all with that but, the elitist attitude of not adding new players, not wanting them to have good opportunities in the game, etc., is a recipe for a dead game.
i think the point is being missed here. no one has been saying lower levels shouldnt move up quickly. its the disparity in the xp returns. a lower level can level free of Raids and keep getting FP from the levels. A higher level doesnt get that benefit and MUST spend. that being said, i dont think the suggestions is that the returns should be the same but simply closer. like a challenge for eg. there is a distinct difference in xp for helping. but this has been covered many many times. nno one is being elitist. its simply asking for a balance.
To be honest, I think the point of this game is being missed. It's not designed for speed leveling and I personally don't see the point of it. The game is built to slow people down as the level higher and higher. Unless you are spending money on this game, you need to have time to get stronger before you progress in levels by getting your job drops, crafts, boss gear etc. There are similar games available from what I'm told that you can level incredibly quickly in. I'm also told those games are pretty much dead. I wonder why that is with so many players that seem obsessed with levelling up, you would think those games would be more popular.
the problem is, with the spenders these raids are setting them apart from regular gameplay yeah you could always spend but it was alot harder to move any way attack wise or defense now if you dont spend on a regular during raids your enemies are they are gathering alot more items at alot faster pace and making it to where someone that would take a year or to to reach a high level, now you can actually move a city a month due to the raids and this was totally impossible no matter what you spent before, I find myself at points after raids one's that i beat are beating me and its getting worse my gameplay has slowed since im not a big spender i feel the effects and get weaker ever raid at this point 6 months down the road i feel i may stop playing all in all this game has changed way to much for my taste it was a pvp based game now its a kiss ass boss hogging app.
i hear you jamey. the thing is, if they didn't spend on raids they would spend on gear and still be stronger than you. allowing people that want to both spend and level the opportunity to do so gives them something more than just an item for their money so, for them it is a plus. it could also be a blessing in disguise for you because if they level quickly past you, they will be out of your fight range that much more quickly if the fact that they are stronger due to spending bothers you. Soon the spenders will be at a level and league of their own and be facing each other where they can gain good xp for fight while not absolutely pummeling people that don't spend and getting bad xp to boot.
so i see i wasted almost 5 yrs to be on the leaderboards for overall and thanks to the raids a nonspender will never have a chance to sit on top again i was one of the few that dont have to spend a house payment to be in the top 100 overall but now with the raids i am falling back so yes it is upsetting when you spend so long to get somewhere and bam in about 8 months your 5 yrs aint worth a shit due to a credit card this was not a issue before raids but it is now. like i said its pushing non spenders from playing cause now you are dividing the game into the spenders and non spenders. And I feel when the game divides into those 2 groups you will see large decrease in activity all i got to say is i hope you spenders enjoy a game that only you will be playing
Games that allow spending in order to improve your account have been and always will be divided between spenders and non spenders. Yes some to a greater degree than others. That is simply the nature of the beast. It's a shame you feel you've wasted 5 years on this game. I could be flippant and say you had 5 years of enjoyment but, that's bs and not what is at issue here. You have had 5 years of enjoyment and now you are losing that and it is a pity. I have to say, I probably really didn't completely understand where you were coming from until you mentioned the leader board. For me, the who's the leader of the pack has no impact on my enjoyment of the game but, I can understand if that is important to you. It would be incredibly frustrated to fall behind after all that time and effort you spent rising to the top. It would also suck to have built one of the strongest characters in the game only to be surpassed in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, you are going to find yourself in the minority when it comes to raids and other elements of the game that allow for fast leveling and rapid strength building. As I'm sure you know, Kano has a business to run so, expecting them remove or alter a very profitable and well liked activity from the game to appease the minority of players, is wishful thinking. The trick for you is going to be finding another way to enjoy the game and get over the fact that you are not going to the strongest, highest level, etc. at least in the near future. You have been at this game a long time. I'm really very new here and I have already seen fast levelers and spenders lose interest in the game and quit. The problem for them is, they buy the gear and blow through the levels and then have nothing to do. There's no one for them to fight with, the job drops don't help them, the boss drops don't help them, and there is simply nothing to look forward to. I hate to use the whole tortoise and hare concept but, if you hang in there, you may find yourself back on top eventually.
