Hi Mi7ch and Co,
a few points to be looked at;
1. There was a comment that there would be a New City in LCN come end of May. Is this still on? When Antarctica was released (if I remember right) only 8 players were of sufficient level to unlock it. We now have 22 players in LCN 500 levels over Antarctica and would qualify for a new city. the timing would therefore be ideal to launch a new city and that city's boss.
Yes this is still happening, keep an eye out in the TGIF for the release date.
2. BA has become terrible, as a leveling tool, if you willing to spend then its ok (ish) as its quick and easy. Not that the xp is really great. there is no need for strategy anymore and how your mob is set up is largely inconsequential as you can simply buy stam and keep attacking even if you die a few times.
A solution may lie in awarding % points for how long stay alive in the sudden death. the longer you stay alive the higher the % you would get. conversely, if you dont go into sudden death or do nothing in sudden death you would get a % of the points you have gained deducted. at least like that it would not be possible to have mob doing exceptionally well without bothering to do anything at all in sudden death.
it would be nice to get a ranking tap, like in Syndicate Wars of your current rank in BA. this idea is just that an idea but it may just cause a mob to keep trying to get a few more points over their anonymous rival.
Beyond changing the schedule to one weekday/one weekend Arena this subject has not come up recently in our talks, but I'll pass this feedback along to the developers.
3. Raids, still too frequent. but i think its generally accepted that they going to remain as a monthly item. the complaints on the other threads still need to be addressed and the xp returns for the higher level players is woeful. I recently started playing Zombie Slayer just for the Raids and at level 700 i can get 200 levels on a single raid cession without BUYING a single FP. I it must be understood here that a higher level in LCN is NOT asking for the same return on xp per stam, but rather that the imbalance be addressed to reduce the disparity.
Raids are as needed by high levels as they are to lower levels, and not because of the xp but due to the weapons drops. If a high level stops doing Raids, in a few months they will get whipped by much lower levels simply because of the weapons. This is already happening due to the Godfather Weapon Purchases, but will become more pronounced with the Raids. A higher level will do fewer Raids because the XP is bad and its costing the player in FP. A lower level player will do many more Raids because the returns are higher and they get free FP more regularly from leveling. therefore quite apart from the xp issue the Raids are totally lob sided in favour of a lower level player.
Various suggestions have been made in this regard, eg limiting the number of Raids one can participate in, giving weapons drops according to levels etc. Personally I feel Raids ought to be less frequent and a mob limited to how many they can participate in.
Also, please may you give us a weeks notice of when they will commence as that would enable players to save their daily rewards for the raids. or should be accept they they will start on the 3rd Thursday of the month?
I put Raid announcements in the TGIF a week before they come out.
The developers are aware of the XP issue and I remind them on a fairly consistent basis. Still no ETA on when/if that is changing, however.
Raids will retain their current schedule for now, but as I've said before we are keeping an eye on the event and will make adjustments if necessary.
4. Fight Weapons drops; i wonder how many players actually look at these under the fight tab? i doubt many and the reason I would assume is that most of these drops have lower values than the weapons drops for jobs in level range. If fight weapons drops are to have any significant meaning they ought to have better values than the best job drop weapon for your range. otherwise scrap them altogether.
I can maybe talk to the developers about getting a Fight Drop stat increase, but it probably wouldn't be that much overall. That said a lot of work has been put into this system so I don't think we would scrap it either. Still, I'll see what I can do.
oh well, I had a few minutes on my hands so thought i would put down my 2 cents.
cheers
