my status here says that i'm an "active member". i saw a thread where one of the members has been "banned". how does this happen? shouldn't those posts be deleted? you must have to do something REAL bad to get banned here.
Racial slurs, cursing, threats, etc. the basic no no words. The posts DO get deleted where the infraction occurred, but constructive comments are usually left alone.
Offending comments are removed, but since these forums have quite the history there might be some comments from banned members that are useful or relevant to certain discussions so those stay. Permanent bans are very rare these days although short-term bans are sometimes handed out, depending on the case.
