11 votes for Random Raids ... 1 vote Event (no alliteration in them as well in Event style). Not enuf to sway the Gods or do the Gods understand it? i.e. make the game normal with the Raids v. sleeping time with Raid Events? Not much of a brainer here after more of same in PC ... zzzzzzzzzz

Make raids for you syndicate, leader open them and treat like a normal boss with a regenerate time. This way its focus by your group and no more mass hoarding, and piggybacking it dont matter what you do with ratio for drops people still will do min. for them and stop after words. If not a group thing make a limit of 10 at a time max 1 die's then join another

    Top Poster Of Month

Adding fight drops for attacking the Raid Boss would do a lot more damage to the game.
I spent several months to kill my unlocked high level bosses to make 70.000 warrior drops and craft them into 3500 Elite warriors. The fight drops now are very hard to make, I get 5-6 drops in the first 1000 attacks in pvp, and they have the same fight strength as the crafted elite boss drops. Making them drop non-stop for 100.000.000 stamina in one afternoon would kill the adventure and boss drop part of the game. Maybe it would be a cash grab for a few months, but after..... GAME OVER.

Making the Raids some very rare random events and extremely difficult to kill would make them inaccessible for the very big majority of the gamers, and they where introduced to give some new content for everyone, not only for the most active high level players. Its not the lower levels fault that a few high level players have an open wide budget and cant limit by they own decision how much they want to spend in a month.

I would vote to make them an event every 2-3 months, with a well known date and be prepared, and no changes to the drops.
It looks like kanos artist cant even handle all this new content every month, as now even they very expensive legendary weapons are some older recycled limiteds with a background...

I don't know about that Gaz in terms of the drops ... the drops as I envision them would be of the frequency and kind that would make up for the adventure drops your not otherwise getting healing the bosses. Not to overpower the game. Ditto the XP: at present, the XP is about 1/2 the leveling XP you get for fighting for each stam. Drop that to a 1/3 and see the action on them in this random scenario. Considering the other limits in the game for leveling, seeing 1000 to 3000 levels or more (not all by high levels but those folks heading fast in that direction!) in a span of 5-7 days is rich and destroys the gaming aspects of the reg game. The solution to me is boot them to a platform and let them roll there, or randomize them, and yet still incentivize them.

Overlaying them on a game that has no other chance for such power leveling where such destroys the competition, compressing the game to a quick vehicle - i.e. if it took 6 years to get level 20,000 and it takes now 6-8 months, what does that make of the regular game? It becomes a setup to the "feature". And the "feature" aside from destroying the regular game, is extremely boring to compete in (hit hit hit heal heal heal hit hit hit heal heal heal ... repeat a zillion times with the deposit of FP's and / or x dollars to keep it going).

Yes, you hit on it when there are some players willing to pony up, but why have a regular game? Make the Raids the full time thing for that matter. Roll the Grendall again, when this or that is done, and not wait at all. Fill em up! To me no matter. Even making the Raid Boss special to me is no fix as they are constructed. My good friend and competitor Deathhead a long time ago envisioned here such a boss that would become the world boss. Well why not a Raid boss that 100 people could join?

Took one guy in PC 10 days to reach over level 2,400 plus, that is just crazy, took another player 4 raids to go 6,000 levels,WTF is that?????

Just came across another player ,also in PC 33 days level 2400 plus, been raid city for that one also, what took players a year is being done in less that a month or a bit more than a month, this is not good for the game and is cheapening, but I am sure the cash being spent , is so great, how can Kano dismantle raids now ??? I see another big corporate company in the near future, if Kano is not careful , :( These so called "raid "players are gonna be the step in that direction.

I think random in game would work better overall.

Well there is certainly enough interest here for me to bring this idea to the developers, however I must say that the Raids were designed from the beginning to be a recurring, timed event like the Arena or the Wars so I'm not sure that this idea will be taken on board.

So - because it was designed to be that way, that assumes that you are right and we are wrong. Not a great deal of flexibility/evolution, is it? Why dont you add a feature to pay cash to summon a Raid boss on demand. There seems to be more and more direct monetization going on - bundles, cash for hireds now - just stick a price against it and Im sure someone will pay it.

I'm not assuming anything, just explaining how they were designed.

well three events all tinkered with by kano especially arena which most agree we hate the end result but beyond that the one true gripe i constantly hear is crappy experience.maybe kano should look at that point and fix that -maybe if the experience points were better kano would stop hearing us complain so much

Fair enough - but maybe telling us straight away that its unlikely to be taken on board, doesnt sound like there is much room for discussion there.

Please don't misunderstand my intent; I know that this topic creates a lot of passion and I am merely trying to set expectations. I will do my best, as always, to communicate this thread and the sentiment within to the higher ups, but I don't want anyone to get their hopes up.

Raids may have been designed to be a recurring event, but if a company finds what they intended is not quite working as planned as far as customer satisfaction goes, they risk losing players interest in continuing on with the game. It is good that the forums allow us to speak our minds and that we can possibly sway the direction of the game by doing so, but it is up to Kano ultimately to decide what the risks or benefits are of keeping this feature ongoing as planned. I do appreciate Mitch that you will take this idea to the developers so that they can ponder the best course of action.

so, in other words, there's no point in expressing our opinions. what a surprise. when we do express them, if Kano doesn't like them, they are deleted, anyway.

I never said that either. I think @Snowtiger summed it up nicely:

"It is good that the forums allow us to speak our minds and that we can possibly sway the direction of the game by doing so, but it is up to Kano ultimately to decide what the risks or benefits are of keeping this feature ongoing as planned."
