i'm wondering if it's worth it to join the next arena. i placed 70 in the last one, and i was taken out within the first hour. i won't be able to do anything in the next one until 5 hours after it is started. is it even worth it? will there be anyone left to kill, or just the top 10 or so players waiting for me to revive and take me out in a matter of seconds? if i can't get any kill points, it doesn't seem to make sense to bother. any thoughts?
It is the PRICIPLE George. Purely and simply. 'This Guy' was curious in the VC one to see how the new changes would play out. Same as many others I believe. The fact Kano said that they would introduce these new 'rules' to the BA as a test and then see how everyone reacted. They did this and then then didn't like the outporing against it. Then they thought f$ck the masses we will still introduce them into all of the games. Principle George, principle. The fact that you don't say anything now is because you have probably already changed your profile to suit the new BA, and you don't want to lose all the hard work that you have done in changing it.
Kano did tweak the arena it each time in VC, and did read the feedback,( might now be what some wanted,) till they finalized what we have now. Maybe they will or can tweak it some more, just like with the raids, each event has changes to it,based on feedback.
it will take me from lvl 3600 to lvl 4600 to tweak, and I still will never get back the 6000 skills now in the garbage so still a lil bitter, but oh well, I gotta live with it and now so do you
5 hours after The Brawling stage? Then yes - join in...I only played for about an hour - missed the sudden death completely (sleeping at that time_ and got 51st. The new BA isn't about when you get knocked out (unless of course you are the last person standing), it's about how many points you get.
i understand that. but if the only ones left alive after 5 hours are the heavy hitters, is there any point in reviving just to get taken out in a matter of seconds trying to get a kill? if you don't get at least one, it doesn't seem that there's much point, i think the only reason i got the ranking that i got was because i was able to get one kill in before i got taken out. and defensive stance counts down even while you're unconscious, so you can't use that to buy extra time. seems that it is basically the same as before, if you can't be there at the start, there's really no point.
i know. so if i'm lucky enough to get 1000 attacks in on a target that i have no chance of killing before i get killed, that makes it worth it? somehow i don't think so. i was trying to get feedback from those players that were able to still be alive 5 hours after the last arena started. i was not one of them, so i have no idea who was left and what a futile effort it might have been. i don't want to join just to get 1000 points or so, that doesn't seem worth it to me.
Well I gonna try out the PC one if the timing is gonna be good and maybe even if it isn't to get a better feel for it
Made a suggestion on knowing how many people left, no response http://forums.kanoapps.com/threads/battle-arena-scheduling.14571/page-2#post-121503
that's funny, jades. when i click on the link, i get an error message saying that i'm not allowed to perform that action, so i can't pull it up. i'm thinking about sitting out the next one, i don't want to get my hopes up thinking i'll be able to actually do something and run smack into a heavy hitter just waiting for people like me to revive.
i don't think they'll fix that. it's a guessing game not knowing how many players are healed at any given time. if you knew that there were only 19 players healed that you could attack, would you revive? i wouldn't. i also think this is part of the problem that i've heard about with only 2 or 3 players on the list that you can fight. there may actually only be 2 or 3 healed players sometimes, so that may not be an "error". this is one of the reasons i'm thinking about not signing up since i know i can't be there in the beginning (same thing i did for the ones before these changes took effect).
yeah, i'll sit this one out, too. let the cheaters and the spenders beat up on each other for their miniscule rewards and virtual trophies. no sense in bothering if you can't be there at the start.
If it wasn't for defense mode I could have killed every mobster within 4-5 hours of sudden death starting. I tried the first part but said screw it and waited for the sudden death and went hog wild. I will say beating down people in defense mode doesn't net you many points. Same old same old for me, you steal I will kill you
The last BA was a COMPLETE nightmare and I truly disliked ALL of the new changes - one could essentially "buy" their way to winning by refilling their Stamina to get more points and that is just NOT fair! I think it's time to "reset" BA back to the way it was before all of the many recent changes, and then start from scratch there - it's an absolute MESS in my opinion, and I wouldn't even know where to begin about everything that was wrong with the last BA!
LMAO - I will be that "guy" and provide a link to a time zone conversion website that is actually VERY straightforward and super easy to use! http://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/
in a way BA was bad, but as far as spending to win I think that always had its place in BA. I like the fact you can not hide and win anymore, because of people hiding all of ba this is way the points came out they had good thought on the old ba but people exploited the defensive mode time, so now they had to make it fair you can not win any game while sitting on the sidelines why should ba be any different. The start times wasnt so bad but i did like random times with ba to make it fair for all. This time in BA i seen alot of new face's in top places so I agree with the points, BA old way made it great for upper levels now its great for all, most i see that complain about the score was the ones that sit back and rode defensive mode almost all of the ba. Time to fight if you want to win and FPS always played a big part in the BA. Battle Arena means fighting to winning this aint sleeping arena and stay in def. to ride out.
exactly. you have always been able to spend to win in the arenas (or wars, or anything else, for that matter). the big change now is that you have to do at least 100 attacks to have any chance at some type of ranking, where before totally inactive players were able to get into the top 100 without doing anything at all.
