I'm at the point where I am going to quit sending calls for help. I can't get power ups. Three times now, one person has come in and killed my monster in less than two minutes. I got a whole 97 experience from my own monster. These people with a lot of stamina to use should spread it around to other bosses. Help people get power ups instead of hindering them. I am almost to the point of removing this person from my clan. Sorry, just wanted to vent.
I don't understand the fascination of the power ups. The don't do anything but give you additional attack and defense on that specific boss. I've never had a power up carry over to thee next battle or anything else. If people put out requests for help, then they should expect the help. Every so often I run across someone who puts on their FB page only one attack. Used to have a guy who would say one attack and if you attacked more he would remove you from his clan and list you. What a joke.
I think it's a good idea, especially the part about the owner being able to completely unlock when ready.
I think it would be a good idea. This has been happening to me repeatedly. A clan member is supposed to help you, not hinder you. It's frustrating getting 179 experience from your own boss. 4 hours ago I started a boss fight. 4 hours ago someone kills it. If they are dumping off stamina, they should spread it around. Help all their friends get power ups instead of screwing up your own mate. When I join a battle, the first thing I look at is how long the battle has been going on. Then I look at the power up situation. If someone started over a day ago and has had no answers to their call to arms, then I go ahead and dump my stamina. Because I figure they really did need the help. If it wasn't for power ups, I would not even post my battles. These bosses are so easy, compared to the ones on castle age.
Here's the fascination with power ups. With each power up, you do more damage and get more experience with each use of stamina for that boss. That means faster leveling. There are many levels for each boss. Those power ups carry over to the next level. And if I'm not mistaken, that increased power works on other people's bosses. Again, faster leveling.
That's pretty stupid, if they only want one attack they should stop being lazy and do it theirself then.. ffs
Don't ask for help if you don't want it. People can't read your mind - then being punished (by removing them) for doing what you asked. If you ask for help and expect someone to just drop by for 1 hit and then get basically nothing or very little in return for their involvement is not logical. If you desire powerups, then you must deal with the fact that some people who come to your call for help are damn strong and will wallop the boss big time. If you just want a bigger take, then don't call for help until you have brought the boss down to about 50% or a little more, then ask for help and move on to helping someone else in the meantime - bouncing back and forth until all is taken care of - but kicking someone out for doing what you asked might be a bigger favor to them than to you in the long run.
Make sure you indicate that you're seeking powerups on your boss feed before posting it. If someone ignores you multiple times and goes overboard boot them from your clan. Some of the more regular players will probably recognize who wants unlocks and who wants their bosses killed off but if you have 1000+ clan chances are most of them don't really know. With my own bosses I do my damage and then send them out to be killed off, but I respect unlock requests of my clan. Didn't really even pay attention to bosses until my fight list shrank to a dozen people out of which only 3 I can kill. Also, I've heard that the longer it takes for you to kill a boss the less total XP all participants recieve. If that's true wouldn't going after unlocks not be beneficial if you're at a higher level and don't need the extra attack strength?
Frankly with the way the game is you shouldn't have to ask for help on a boss in the first place so if you're going to complain about the way you're being helped the problem is probably with you. Spreading your help around just makes a mess but that should be your choice. Putting limits on the help provided I think is a bad idea, just don't ask for help until you've got a substantial amount of damage on the boss.
You do more damage, but the xp you gain is not all that much, and by the time you get the power up mots times the boss is almost dead. Perhaps they changed it but I NEVER had a power up carry over past the boss that was defeated. And no, that power up works on that specific boss, providing you with additional attack and defense on that boss. Once that boss has been defeated, that's it. I was lucky enough once to get 20+ people to help on a boss that went from 300attack extra to 500. The boss was almost dead by then and I maybe gained a few extra xp. Certainly not enough to get upset about. When I post for help, I do as much damage as I can, the let others jump in. I expect that one person might get really good XP from that boss and will do a million damage. That's what I want! When you work together both people need to get benefit, not just one. When people post for boss help, they should have already done the damage that they wanted to do and figured they got enough xp for their trouble. You then post and let others kill your boss so you can gain the xp and rewards. Also, be aware that when you post for boss help it also goes on the game feed. People see help and there are no messages in the filter. It just says help.
for those that want those additional power attacks, the only way for sure to get them is to get your friends on the IM(works on both myspace and facebook)copy paste the url UNDER the boss picture to them. having only the friends you want to help will most likely give you the power attacks. and best part of that strategy,it doesnt show on the feed till after the boss is dead.
Interesting, I'll forward this to my clan members that are always griping about locks. As for myself I don't care about getting them. I attack my own bosses 4-5 times and let them be killed and collect whenever I check back. Boss rewards are based on how fast the boss is killed, how much damage you do and a bonus for being the boss owner. My suspicion is that unlocks were put in to help you defeat a boss faster by dealing more damage, thus better rewards. Usually it takes longer to get the unlocks than it would just to have 4 or 5 people come in and blow the boss out of the water so the total XP for everyone is diminished. Fail on Kano for not adding in stronger bosses that actually would require unlocks to defeat them. Kind of like how the first couple bosses were that took days to fight on your own. That being said I respect the requests of anyone that asks for locks and comply with them so long as they ask. If you don't say anything then you can't expect people to read minds. Unless you're Willy odds are we don't know what you want. If you ask and some people still don't comply then see above strategy.
