Are bosses a waste of stam?

Just curious as to when inventory makes a difference, lets say you hit tons of bosses & have tons of elite warriors & weapons & other players still have balders by the thousands, how is it possible for them to even come close to beating you when your inventory has the best of everything? now im not talking about players that are 1000's of levels apart here, lets say just a 1000 lvl's apart, the way i see it now is? hitting tons of bosses & wasting all those favor points to get drops makes no sense when all one has to do is keep adding skill points to attack............ I've had a few players ask me this same question & my answer is I have no idea how having the best of everything makes no difference at all,,,,,, does anyone? feel free to post if you do & thanks!

I also lvl with a partner & use no darkwoads at all on my defense , all my warriors r stronger than darkwoads - when i elite those its 400+ & my lvl partner only gets 1xp more, what kind of math is that? lol

im level 8920something and still use legendary weapons from the freyja....so from that boss on up id say its a good bet to load up on those drops...still using legendary darkwoads for a little while as well so they get used for thousands of levels...its not a waste if you do it right

I was talking about players that are more or less equal in levels, like on kong where only about 1000 lvl's separate most, I have a lvl 9612 on kanoplay & better bosses & thought I understood the whole boss drop thing but on kong its a different beast all together, like I said it makes no sense for someone to even come close to beating another player when one still uses 1000's of balders & the other uses all boss drops & most are elites, same thing with weapons, like George said when one is 200,000-300,000 stronger on defense? how does the weaker player win? if it boils down to skill points added to attack? what is the point of boss drops & black smith when it really serves no purpose.

Some players invest in stam/energy and some don't, giving them a edge on allocated skill points to invest in other areas. My best guess.

attack and defense plays a huge part...if someone has lesser warriors/weapons but is loaded up on attack then it gives them an edge over the same inventory with less attack....all in all, loading up on the right drops will give you an extended edge over time...its not about the now, its where youll be 2k levels from now and what kind of warriors/weapons are equipped with your attack/defense

Okay, lets try a visual, if someone has Rambo as their point man? we'll call that attack - & cub scouts as troops? how can the cub scouts even come close to beating special forces? if it just comes down to attack verses defense? why waste stam on drops if it does no good? my question was when does inventory make a difference? - these 2 players are about 1200 lvl's apart - so how does over 9,000 balders almost beat the other player?

well if the cub scouts have better training than the special forces then its a no-brainer who wins that fight ;p your comparison is a funny one but doesnt pertain to what we were discussing bud......lets say the guy with the balders has 10k attack and the other is defending with healer clerics and a defense of 1....guess who's gonna win? the skill point allocation has alot more to do with the battle calculations than certain parts of the game lead you to believe....the battle strength tab has skewed some peoples opinions of how important the skill points allocated to attack and defense really are

  9. Lucifer

    Lucifer Active Member

Yeah it kinda does, my point is your inventory really does not help in battle much, it all comes down to how much skill points the enemy has on attack vs your defense skill points, boss drops n black smith looks good in your inventory but that is just about it, iv had a lot of people ask me about warriors n weapons, now i can send them here lol.........................

inventory DOES matter down the road...at level 3k? not too important but after that it starts to play a bigger role the higher you get

Lol, was not talking bout lvl 3k's - was talking about lvl's within 1k of each other, take you & me for example, your mostly all attack so my inventory really does no good on kanoplay, its 1 reason i no longer hit lots of bosses there - now if I were talking about players 3-5000 lvl's apart? inventory plays a part in it but so does all the extra skill points :D

  12. Demonik1

    Demonik1 Well-Known Member

yeah but im only one person, im sure there are instances when it comes into play.....and if you hadnt stopped playing as much over here, im sure it would be alot tougher for me to win....and using me as an example isnt really conducive to this thread, i have one the top inventories in the game on server 2 so there arent many within a few thousand levels i cant beat...guess that may sound a little conceited but its the truth

All I'm saying is? inventory does not help much in battle when players are within 1000 lvl's of each other, it makes no sense being that way but its the way it is, it comes down 2 attack skill points vs defense skill points, total attack & total defense really plays no role if someone has enough attack, my question was when does inventory make a difference? it does not unless the players are 1000's of lvl's apart, its been proved time after time, you can have a junk inventory n still beat a much stronger inventory with enough attack..........

Inventory does help out quite a bit, but allocation of skill points PVP is always more of a factor in battle. I have a few friends same level their attack is higher than my defense allocation of skill points, but still lose due to our differences in inventory.

For a start if you are talking about someone 1000 levels above you then consider that they have earned 5k more skill points to allocate if that has all gone on att/def you stand no chance. In my opinion mainly because you seem to be spending your stamina on your own bosses not on helping on other peoples bosses. Random drops from your own bosses don't mean as much as help rewards from others.

This is true, but the drop rate for bosses that you haven't unlocked yourself is terrible, even if you have friends willing to give them to you entirely. I'm nowhere near the levels of some of the posters in this thread, but I have already seen the impact of skill allocation on my ability to win battles.

Yes that is very true the random attack drops from unlocked bosses is horrid for me. I have some higher level friends who send me their bosses with a very high set slider, on occasions I have done well above the min dam for the help reward yet not get one random drop. So be it they are called random for a reason LOL. Next to no amount of bosses worked or helped will beat a high level of att/def. I am far stronger in PC with 15k more bosses helped there and can beat a few players 500 levels above me but I also have a few players who have dumped loads of skill points into def to last longer in the arenas, they have the 10k def achievement and I have around 8500 att and can't beat them even though one has only helped 1k bosses to my 36k.

Oh and Lucifer I don't use any weapons from my own bosses. I have the Norns open yet don't use the weapons from the Ymir or Hells Rising only the warriors in either att or def depending on the weighting of the stats.

thats only true for a while, those rewards become useless once you reach 7k...i have thousands and thousands of useless rewards i spent countless stams acquiring....what matters alot later in the game is weapon inventory, good weapons become scarce higher up and good warriors are plentiful and the whole boss reward thing becomes pointless cause not many have the bosses to share for us to get rewards from

  20. Demonik1

    Demonik1 Well-Known Member

but back to the question at hand...is it a waste of stams? no. the drops and rewards are used for quite a while and stams regen and you get dailys and boosts so youre not really wasting anything. there is always going to be someone that can beat you no matter what you do or who you are. frustrating as it may be, it is what it is
